The Romanian duo of Alsi are an intrinsic part of the minimal community. Regularly spinning at the likes Club Guesthouse and various Amphia label night the pair are world renowned at the smooth and sleek, yet heavy hitting sounds of Bucharest.

Their set for our InSession series was recorded live at none other than their date with the Amphia label night at Gradina Monteoru. Sitting nicely between label owners SIT and Christopher Ledger, Alsi plots a deft path through lush soundscapes and otherworldly emotions with the help of deep bubbling basslines and chest pounding beats. Just how we like it.

A long-time favourite amongst discerning minimal techno fans, he also runs the Standalone label and has left his own inimitable mark on respected labels such as Fasten Musique, Berg Audio, Silencio and more. Originally Turkish but born and raised just outside of Zurich, Alci’s entry into DJing came via Hip Hop and street culture, trying his hand at graffiti and breakdancing before discovering turntables. At the age of 17 he was already on the Zurich circuit and today is called upon to play all around the world. Igniting his passion for music, his taste has evolved over the years, shifting into the electronic world where he now places his sound between funky House grooves and minimalistic Techno.
