Alex, known as DJ Phonno, is a versatile and dynamic artist hailing from the vibrant music scene of Manchester, UK. When asked about his music style, he candidly admits that it's a challenge to pigeonhole because he's not confined to a single genre. Instead, he thrives on experimentation, seamlessly blending elements from house to electro in his sets. Each track he selects serves a unique purpose, crafting an immersive experience for dancers. Phonno's signature sound is characterided by big basslines and hypnotic percussions, though he's not limited to these alone. His guiding principle is simple: if a track makes him want to dance, he believes it will do the same for the crowd.Phonno's involvement with Pooku in Manchester and his upcoming label, BP1 Records, reflect his dedication to showcasing talented local artists. Throughout his journey, Phonno has cherished experiences at iconic venues like Sankeys and Hidden in Manchester, as well as The White Hotel in Salford. His deep appreciation for the Romanian minimal sound stems from its freedom of expression and creativity, breaking away from formulaic approaches. Jean-Guillaume Cabanne is Telegraph’s kingpin artist, with six EP releases, as well as six of his tracks, in solo or with David Gluck as Ultrakurt, featuring on the Post Office compilations. On Logistic, he has co-produced the Blackstage album with John Thomas. His releases on Telegraph, 7th City, Karat or Perlon (with Ark as Copacabannark) have made him one of the most forward-thinking artists of the scene. He was part of the first live presentation of the Narod Niki project at Montreal’s MUTEK last installment, along with Dandy Jack, Dimbiman, Luciano, Daniel Bell, Richie Hawtin, Akufen and Ricardo Villalobos. Cabanne is also a trained jazz guitarist.

Andrei Ciubuc is one of the producers and DJs who complete the overall picture of the Romanian house and techno underground. The extensive knowledge of sound engineering and composition can be felt in his selections and productions. Andrei Ciubuc's experience with music came from a young age, playing instruments such as violin and guitar and eventually analog electronic devices.

In both his DJ performances and his productions, he switches between a variety of genres and styles, which is notably evident in his most recent sets.

The latest artist to step up for our podcast series, Ceruti is also a wicked DJ, and someone who naturally keeps her ear to the ground for brilliant sounds. Following an intense year where she was hospitalised during the summer, she’s now back at it and feeling more invigorated than ever. Hailing from the vibrant coastal city of Barranquilla, Colombia, Alexander Gentil is a DJ and producer who has been making waves in the music industry with his experimental approach to productions. However, his journey into the world of music was influenced not only by his Colombian roots but also by his time spent in New York City, the city he now calls home. During his formative years, Gentil developed a deep passion for the dance club scene and the DJs who electrify it, ultimately leading him to pursue a career in music. His dedication to the craft led him to study sound engineering, a versatile skill that has paved the way for his success as a DJ and producer.

Gentil’s diverse musical journey has seen him mix and master records across a wide range of genres, working with both established and emerging artists. Among his proudest achievements is a double-vinyl remix release of "Making Ends Meet," a nearly two-decade-old hidden gem by Craig Richard's little-known alias, Scumdolly. Gentil breathed new life into this classic, showcasing his talent for crafting unforgettable sounds. And more recently, Gentil released his own track, “Renazanz,” signed to DJ Mag Latin America. What’s more, Gentil also runs the Errant Recordings label, a project “infused with diversity, experimentation and modern day tech advances.” We caught up with Alexander recently, to learn more about the label, his future plans and also to chat over the mix he did for us…

With one foot in New York fueling her creativity and influencing her in the way only New York can, and the other firmly in Berlin, her second home, exposing her to some of the best clubs in the world - Karina is one to watch our for. These two huge influences along with her international upbringing in Norway, Egypt and Poland and her creative multilingual mindset all shine brightly through her music.

10 years living and working on the famous mediterranean island of Ibiza has seen her involved with some of the biggest promoters in the music industry such as Cocoon Ibiza and Monza. An avid collector and player of all things vinyl, she is also one of the residents and creators of Ibizas most successful weekly open-air party The Zoo Project. Berlin, her second home, exposed her to its raw creativity helping her develop her production skills whilst playing at venues such as Kater Holzig, Sisyphos or Kitkat.

We're delighted to have Karina on board for our 206th edition with a fusion of minimal, house and dubs.
