Repress of Simon Copleston a.k.a Iteration X’s debut EP delivered for Evasive Records in 2003. ’Timecheck’ and ‘Liquid Logic’ are 2 slabs of firing tech-house straight out of South London. Simon worked from his own studio and also Online Studios in Croydon. Simon sadly passed away in 2014 and we wanted to make this well sought after release available again so that his musical legacy lives on.

With the idea of releasing fresh raw sounds, in solo and with friends, 2trckrs was born. Now, it brings us it’s first group of jams for it’s debut EP “4 Da Streetz”

All tracks were recorded in one take, coming straight from the machines, passing through the pedal board into the mixer, with little to non post production, giving them its raw and colorful sound.  

The EP includes two tracks from the labels creative force Nulek and a couple of collaborations with producers JJ Beteta and Telva. Offering us dark tones, hard hitting bass lines and tight percussions that transports the listener into a high energy dancefloor.

Having surfaced from a 20- year hiatus this year with two new albums, Anoesis continues his restored run of form letting loose a five-track masterclass in IDM, electronica, house and electro on Cyphon Recordings. Showcasing a signature touch crafted across the ‘90s, the ‘Stasislogue EP’ flies the flag for the fact that Howard Dodd has by no means lost the ability to make a dancefloor move. Operating in a far-flung corner of the cosmos, Anoesis was responsible for some truly mind-warping breakbeat and IDM across the ‘90s on labels such as D*Fusion Records and Octopus - releasing tracks that always felt like they were made in another dimension.
 
Continuing where he left off, the EP opens with ‘Track Thirty 7’, a production that could just as easily have come from Mars, as it could Detroit. Glitched out yet driving, conceptual yet considered, it’s got an ethereal urgency that moves limbs with purpose.  ‘Callisto’ follows, part UR, part dream house  - an emotive, eyes closed journey with soaring pads and glistening synths laid over a bubbling beat. ‘May Eleventh’ rounds off the A side and gives a real insight into the modulated mind of Anoesis, a hardware-heavy, underwater electro trip that nods to the deep-sea dwellers, Drexciya. Flip it over to find ‘Space Watch’, a skippy house bumper with a grooving low-end and lunar transmissions hypnotising from the off, before a peak-time, dancefloor-focussed slice of mind-expanding electronica, ‘Places For People’, rounds off the package. Honed in the ‘90s, yet firmly rooted in the present, it’s clear to see that Dodd’s ability to write absorbing, interplanetary machine music with a human heart at its core is as strong as it’s ever been.

Swedish artist Eric OS has caused quite some stir this year with releases on Haŵs, Limousine Dream, Eya Recordings,Terrazzo or his own imprint Space Trace. With 2023 coming to an end the Malmo-based "jam-session planner“ has one more thing in store, probably the biggest one in his career, his LP Wandering Mind. A ten-tracker with which Eric Axelsson, Eric OS’ real name, takes his listeners on a spaced-out genre unbound journey delivering the soundtrack for various situations and moments on and around dance floors. Ahead of the release the artists speaks with Torture the Artist about the upcoming release, Scandinavian winters, keeping the momentum, how he got hooked with electronic music and much more. Dawn Razor and Archetech, two friends and two-thirds of the once-active trio Sonnen Blumen Kerne, have collaborated to deliver an album of tracks previously released exclusively on vinyl through Dawn Razor’s NARA Records. When Lobster Theremin ceased operations, the stock of these releases was lost, leaving only brief preview snippets online.

Adam approached HOMAGE with the story and shared the tunes with us. Moved by the situation, we decided to release all of the tracks as a retrospective album. Thus, 'Half Life' was born—a collection of 10 tracks that blur the boundaries between slammin' electro, breakbeat, and mutated bass, all with a minimalist edge.

'Half Life' will be available to stream and download from May 17th, 2024.
