This is the title menu music, people. The classic one is terrible, it's just a bipping noise, mostly. Now, the intro FMV music, now that's another story! It's the theme for the game, I'd say, and that one should be adapted as it was, it's really iconic.

if i can give some critique, you should wait until the game is 80% done before shitting out money on music artists that barely fit the game, and aren't capable of writing/composing music to gameplay that currently barely exists (this music sounds more akin to a mobile game, regardless of the effort spent, it just sounds pretty basic and bland). When composing for a game you need to be able to contextually and full know what the feel of the situation is. With a game like this, being horror, it really doesn't Need music.

I'm not gonna say that was absolute dog crap... but as a System Shock theme, especially replacing the epic original, this is absolute dog crap.

We’ve gathered a team of industry veterans from games like Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect, and BioShock to create a faithful reboot of the classic game we all know and love. In System Shock, you’ll take on the role of a resourceful hacker as you explore and survive the terrors of Citadel Station brought on by a rogue AI named SHODAN.  

To ensure this reboot is as true to the original as possible, we’ve been collaborating with the original developers of System Shock 1.  Understanding what they would do differently and keep the same has helped us to refresh a classic in ways Looking Glass Studios would have.

System Shock OST: Main Title

Admit it--yours sucks.  : )

This is a MIDI compilation of the various themes heard throughout the Engineering Level and other areas in the game. It was originally arranged by a man with the internet alias "Chicago", probably uploaded some time in 1998 (original site seems to be down). The tempo is about 3% faster than in the game and he added a stereo separation in the bass among a few other minor tweaks, but largely the MIDI data is unchanged.

The track is being rendered through the Arachno Soundfont (http://www.arachnosoft.com/main/soundfont.php) a soundfont meant to compliment old MS-DOS video games. The MIDI controller I used is a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS.
