Above The Clouds, out June 17th on Gravitas Recordings, is a powerful experience through sound, blending heavy bass and melodic synths for a hard hitting release ready for a massive crowd.  After years performing under the alias, SNOWMASS, Ian has removed the helmet and leveled up his sound.  He has made a name for himself playing huge festivals such as Electric Forest, Lost Lands, Spring Awakening, Camp Bisco, Global Dance Festival and more.  In 2020 Ian was ready to unveil his new name and brand, and as the pandemic hit he took the opportunity to focus on his music and style.  After years of finding his true sound and watching life return back to normal, Ian Snow has finally taken the stage and is bringing his ferocious energy to the dancefloor. 


“Eyes Closed” kick starts the EP in full force with the heaviest of bass growls and male vocals, taking no hesitation in enveloping the listener in this new sound and transporting them into a huge festival stage.  “Revelation” pulls back and steadily brings in nostalgic melodies, building a beautiful atmosphere and tension into a deep heavy drop rattling speakers while keeping the same melodies and sound.  “Above The Clouds” closes the EP with a perfect blend of both sides shown in the previous tracks, mind-melting bass with divine melodies in a beautiful recap of this new sound.

This is my entry for the @quixofficial remix contest. 

Had a lot of fun working on this track. I wanted to add some variety to show my different styles with the guitar riff and more melodic stuff for the intro and verses and then going all out with the grimey lead and distorted bassline for the drops. QUIX has been such an inspiration to me over the last couple of years and hopefully he can hear that in this remix. I'm so stoked he released the stems for this contest.

Night Glider is the second track of the EP, it was probably on of my favorite songs I wrote. 
The vision for this song was creating an anthem for all the wild nights me and my friends had. When you just glide through the night and let everything happen.

While we are stuck inside, the artists we work with have a way of thinking outside the box to bring a fresh perspective to the underground bass music scene as a whole. Another new name joins the BLC family today and we are stoked to be working with such a talented artist after connecting in 2019.

Kizer hails from the beautiful state of Colorado where bass music flows as freely as the natural beauty surrounding it. With so much talent stemming from the Denver area, it was apparent Kizer had his sights on the bigger picture after first tuning into his productions. Pushing an eclectic collection of squishy, ever-evolving sounds in everything he drops, the dude has a way of maintaining fresh and forward-thinking releases on the regular.

When we first heard 'I Like That', we immediately checked our release schedule to see when we could share it with the world. Finding a groove in the depths of a deep halftime-influenced sound, Kizer puts on a clinic throughout the track with a cohesive energy that we cannot get enough of. Artists that are able to carry themselves and build on every release they drop get a ton of respect from us and Kizer proves that sentiment with ease. Keep an eye on this guy for a lot more on the horizon!
