Soma welcome Techno behemoth Monoloc for his label debut with two dark, brooding Techno tracks in his inimitable style with the ‘Gipson EP’. Monoloc was born in 1980 in Frankfurt am Main. He first got in touch with the booming electronic music scene of this Techno metropolis at the age of 16 and soon bought his first set of records. Since then, his life has revolved around his ultimate goal; manifestation of his musical vision in the form of dj sets as well as his very own productions.

Title track Gipson kicks off with deep, pumping subs and kicks with a slowing evolving atmosphere creating great tension through the body of the track. Monoloc subtly pulls back the throttle only to launch back it with bold, crashing percussion. Most definitely one for the more moody dance floor.

On the flip, Cupel starts off a little lighter but defiantly delivers a punch. Muted kicks and atmosphere provide the backdrop while delayed synths trip out over the top. Monoloc picks up the pace ever so slightly as skipping hi hats given the track more urgency before ethereal pads glisten through the heart.

Modular States gears up for a heavy-hitting dose of futurism as Gizmo & Mac present their latest techno creation, "Biomechanical", landing on May 23rd. The title track "Nemesis" is a dark, melodic anthem that conveys dystopian vibes in a futuristic way. Track no. 2 is “Soulreaver". An absolutely crazy pitch and grain delay synth that splinters into millions of little fragments at some moments is driven by a shaking, almost hyperventilating beat. The EP closes with the track “Out Of Tune”. This summer anthem unites 3 worlds of electronic music and deliberately focuses nostalgically on the past without losing sight of the present.

Oxygeno returns to Soma for his second outing on the label with the deep, dark and hypnotic, ‘Catharsis EP’. Soaked in his typical atmospheric sound design, the Spanish born producer still keeps things tough, driving yet minimalistic, throughout.

'Ambivalence' opens the journey with pumping 909 drums against a stripped and steely rhythm. 'Catharsis' goes even deeper as modulating synths create a twisted soundscape. 'Dirty Mind’s syncopated synths hooks are the core of another pulsing and atmospheric trip. 'Enigma' leans off more dystopian vibes as hypnotic drones ebb and flow across the track. Closing with 'The Demon Inside', Oxygeno strips it back once again whilst delivering on attitude with earth shaking rhythmic elements are dark, foreboding synths.

NIGHT LIGHT is the brainchild of pioneering Bosnian DJ duo Sinisa Tamamovic and Mladen Tomic. As principles in the techno/minimal field, their reputation was established by a clutch of darker hued tracks and well-received remixes on genre leading labels.
