I am pretty sure most of you can agree, Bastille is the tits, we have been fans of Bastille since we first ever heard their music about 1.5 years ago. In fact we loved them so much so, that we sent maybe 30 emails a month to their management, press, agents and fan pages begging to remix them... Of course no one got back to us... but there is a lesson to be learned here... Sometimes you gotta let something go, to let it come back to you ;) Actually fuck that saying, just work hard, do you and eventually the right ppl will recognize that, and in this case we were finally blessed with the opportunity to remix one of our favorite artists, and on top of that a song we really love...

So The Life was one of my favorite summer tracks this year, and when Viceroy asked me to do a remix I was pumped.  The track is the perfect combo of great vocals and feel good guitars and bongos, which are the universal sign of summer if you ask me.  Chris' vocals were a ton of fun to work with because they could so easily fit into so many different sounds/genres, and I decided to take this one in a very different direction from the other music I've released this year.  I tried to put a lot of different sounds that I've been listening to recently - 90s Piano House, Deep, and Future House - into a unique mix and add my usual touch of pop sensibility to it.  The result is a remix that I think is the perfect soundtrack to the start of fall, and I couldn't be happier with how this one turned out.  

Deep Thought: I have no idea what a Penguin Prison is, or what it would look like, but I imagine it would be very, very cold and something like an animal kingdom version of Orange is the New Black.  Also, if you haven't seen March of the Penguins you need to stop what you're doing and watch that immediately.

There was something about Hayley's voice that stood out to us as soon as we heard the original.
