This beautiful edit comes from the mastermind of Bastia-based Valerj, a DJ, producer, and co-creator of the label From Disco To Disko and of the Ballà Boum Festival which is held every summer in Corsica. Here, he pays tribute to Sauveur Mallia, a French genius of instrumental Disco Music with a "slowed down dub mix" that transforms the track "Radium One" into a cosmic weapon for sleeping dance floors out there.

As a producer based in France, initially Beatmaker/drummer in a live hip-hop band in the South-West of France, Ket'Mos now focuses on electronic music as soon as he arrives in the capital. Influenced by jazz and groove since his childhood, he performs in Paris with his project Mosleo, which often classifies him between micro-house trancy & electro-break. With his recent alias Ket'Mos, he changes his hat with a new Indie-Dance/ Dark-Disco project. This remix pays tribute to Bryan Ferry, the emblematic figure of the English band Roxy Music, who composed the track Dance Away.

Next up in the Sinchi edit series comes our long-time friend @Pedro-Martins-Music . The Portuguese artist is a connoisseur, crate digger and the founder of Karakter Records, an international label and cult dedicated to the hypnotic, rhythmic and intense alternative music.

We think you’ll recognise this one! Releasing back in 1985, it’s a stone cold classic and was written by co-founder Roland Orzabel. Many people assume its about primal therapy treatment but that is not the case…

Orzabel ‘It came out when a lot of people were still worried about the aftermath of The Cold War and it was basically an encouragement to protest."

Whilst co-founder Curt Smith added ‘ "It concerns protest in as much as it encourages people not to do things without actually questioning them. People act without thinking because that's just the way things go in society. So it's a general song, about the way the public accepts any old grief which is thrown at them."

So as it was in 1985, so it is today. Political or not, enjoy this fantastic 2020 rework.
