The opening piece, **“Solitary Sequence,”** opens the door to an introspective world. Its minimalist and repetitive structure conveys the sensation of a pattern unfolding slowly, like a thought repeating in the mind until it becomes a landscape. It is a track that invites solitary reflection, where time seems to stretch and the sonic texture becomes almost tangible.

In contrast, **“Twilight Mosaic”** proposes a tapestry of richer and more colorful sounds, evoking the hues of twilight. Pearls is Swimful’s second release on Shanghai’s SVBKVLT label. The EP collects four of the best tracks made by Swimful in the past year and sees the producer going deeper into his sound of nostalgic sino melodies and melancholic atmospheres that he established on 2016’s PM2.5.

Remixes come from Coyote Records’ Letta, who strips back the title track to a bare-bones devils mix that leaves only the heart of the track intact, and Shanghai’s Downstate, who twists “Lonely God” into a sprawling, symphonic journey that closes out the EP.

Swimful - Lonely God (Downstate Remix)

18 months on from the now legendary DJ mix "The Wave Pool MMXV", Plastician presents the much anticipated follow up mix, this time with an accompanying 29 track album of the tracks included within.

The question asked of the first mix was whether or not a new sound was emerging out of the internet - 18 months on, and countless great productions since, this collection of tracks from some of the Wave movement's key players and new blood seeks to gain approval of the Wave genre's arrival.

Including tracks from Klimeks, Kareful, Skit, Sorsari, Deadcrow, Anubis XIII, Hnrk, Noah B, Brothel and more - it's clear to see that this compilation has called upon some of the scene's most noted producers to stake it's claim. 

Mixed and curated by Plastician whose Rinse FM radio show was the platform for this movement to be brought to the attention of the wider public, as well as his Survey parties in Phonox being the initial club night at which this scene established itself outside of the internet - this album is another statement from the man that this sound is not trying to disappear into obscurity any time soon.
