"Sol Power Sound is proud to present its first release of 2016, a 3-song EP by recent Finnish expatriate, Tom of Brooklyn. After a massive release on Razor-n-Tape in 2015 (and slight change of moniker), the ever-mysterious Tom delivers a 3-song EP of breezy disco grooves inspired by his recent cruise of the islands.

On Theme Song from Deep Cock, Tom double-teamed with Deep Sang (of the Sol Power All-Stars). The tag-team duo came up with a tight and groovy title sequence for a film that will likely never see the light of day.

Look at Me is a moody slice of disco goodness that Tom put together for his now-legendary sunrise sets on the ship.

Make Me Wonder is a warm-weather jam that fills the B-side of the record. A seemingly endless funky groove, it was Tom’s secret weapon at his all-day beach parties in port. He tells us he can’t wait to play it at outdoor jams in his new home of Brooklyn, NY (and at Fire Island soirees this summer)!

Tom had a big release in 2015 on Razor-n-Tape which received massive support from the likes of Disclosure, Mister Saturday Night, Mark Farina, Eli Escobar, DJ Cam, Pools, Mousse T, Julio Bashmore, Pete Herbert, Yam Who, Cosmo Baker, and a whole bunch more."

Almost ten years ago, back in November of 2009, before Let’s Play House was even a humble basement-bar and hotel-lobby party, Jacques Renault quietly released a four-track EP on Hole in the Sky, an imprint run by Canyons’ Leo Thomson and Ryan Grieve, called Favicon , that was both a snapshot of New York City’s glitter-dusted disco-revival haze and the culmination of the first few years of Renault’s career through the club circuit. It quickly became a cult classic and set in motion much of what followed for Renault; it added some fuel to the fire that was Runaway, his project with Marcos Cabral, and helped ready the stage for LPH’s entry.

Long out of print, we thought it’d be fun to reissue it in 2018 as a Record Store Day exclusive. We took the original sleeve and label designs and gave them a minimalistic update, and then added a fifth track to the mix, “Time Machine,” as a bonus. Originally recorded around the same time as the rest, it’s a dizzying, strings-ladden stomper that’ll have your head spinning.
