Here is the first remix pack from Christian Smith's album 'Stranger Than Paradise'. We were lucky to enlist some of our favourite new and established producers. This pack includes three remixes from NYC house legend Harry Romero ironically delivering a storming techno remix; Dutch techno legend Steve Rachmad giving us a classy, dubby and filtered mix, and upcoming Italian artist Paride Saraceni beefing up the original "Transition" track. Californian producer Taylan @musicbytaylan presents ‘Nomads’, a three-track work that captures the most elegant and profound essence of contemporary Progressive House. The original version unfolds a hypnotic and solid journey, built on an immersive rhythmic foundation and a melodic progression that grows naturally, drawing the listener into a state of introspective connection.

The EP is enriched with two carefully selected remixes. Maze 28 @maze28 offers a warmer and more emotional vision, leaning toward melodic house, where the harmonies take on a close, organic character. Hobin Rude @hobin_rude , on the other hand, preserves the elegance of the original but dresses it with ambient textures and a restrained energy that seduces through subtlety.

With Nomads, Univack once again delivers a refined release, full of atmospheres and nuances, designed to captivate both the most selective dancefloors and listeners seeking music with soul and depth.

If you’ve at all sniffed around the Beatport charts at some stage in the last 12 months, then it’s highly likely that you’ll have been hugely impressed by a Berlin-based duo that go under the name ‘Mat.Joe’. With a string of releases and remixes in the last year on Snatch! Mother Recordings, Defected, Strictly Rhythm and of course Toolroom Trax, it’s an outright pleasure to have them return for their debut single release on the governing Toolroom Records this spring.

‘Nighthawk’ is an all-consuming tech house affair packed with deep grooves, guitar and synth licks and a dimly lit vocal performance, creating a delicately atmospheric personality within the track. Mat.Joe wholly boast their signature warm-yet-rough sound pallet and once again show us why their tracks are in such high demand. 

The release is graced by a stunning re-work from Dosem who twists up the original elements and creates a dark roller that’s crafted to perfection.

The title track ‘Arrow' sets the scene for the record, an ambient yet driving Techno roller. Grooves for days, intricate synth melodies and atmospheric pads take you on a sonic journey.

‘Bear’ retains that ambient feel but paints a darker picture slowly building and evolving as the track progresses.

Maceo Plex is back on his own Ellum Audio with huge statement single ‘Nu World’.

Maceo Plex has fomented his own singular sound in the last few years. His unique brand of techno has always been melodic, adventurous, and epic - the sort of sounds that can unite the vast crowds he plays to all over the world. He has nurtured artists with similar mindsets on his label but now takes the reins himself and is in typically fine form.

The excellent ‘Nu World’ is a rousing single that will sweep anyone off their feet. The strident drums, the big vocal cries and the emotional synths all add up to a mesmerising, hands in the air anthem that will appeal to electronic music lovers across the board. Add in the rugged bass and smart synth effects and the results are truly irresistible.
