Boogie Thing

Our band has been active since 1997. From the very beginning the aim of the project was clear: depart for an imaginary journey through the various forms of the Blues, from the most traditional to the latest trends. The intent is to capture the elements of the language, impressions and emotions that enrich each trip, leading to the personal reinterpretation of the genre. The music that we have been taking in clubs or festivals over the years - and that we are still carry around - narrates the story of this journey. We have increasingly passed from mere repetition of the standards of the genre to the desire to take possession of all the musical material proposed, with the introduction of original compositions or rearrangements of songs drawn from the vast repertoire of Black Music.

Thanks also to the diverse styles of the band's components, in our music coexist traditional elements of Blues, Chicago Blues, R & B, Soul, Funk and Jazz. In our concerts we are attentive to the emotional contact and interchange with the public, through the proposal of a repertoire characterized by a wide variety of situations and stylistic elements. We are convinced that a live performance is not the opportunity to embark on lengthy solos, exacerbating the desire to "show off at all costs"; we rather relay on the united expressiveness as the result of the combined contribution of the single musician, the compactness of the sound, the groove and the constant determination to continue to grow musically... taking our trip further.

After several lineups the current formation consists of four elements:
