Starting out in 2001 to tie up some loose ends from our regulars, SPEICHER has since become a guarantee for vanguard dance sounds from all over the planet, allowing KOMPAKT to invite and support electronic artists that comfortably inhabit both the delicate and the more deliberate ends of the electronic music spectrum. For SPEICHER 83, Italian tag team HUNTER/GAME present two hand-cranked live jams rich in atmospheric detail and flattening punch. Due to the somewhat non-negotiable nature of a hardware live jam, you'd be forgiven to expect a certain sloppiness in the details that most real-time composers make more than up for in energy and perseverance – let us introduce you, then, to HUNTER/GAME, the duo of Italian producers based in Milan and New York who seem to effortlessly combine the intimate intricacy of a studio layout with the powerful punch of a stage combo. Immediately convincing listeners with some pretty masterful execution skills, both cuts HEXAGON and BERMUDA go on to sneak into anthem territory, patiently adding layer after layer of sonic imagination to a strong assortment of core beats. It's been almost precisely a year since Jonathan Kaspar debuted on André Hommen's These Eyes imprint with his well-respected "Panem EP". Now he's back with yet another outstanding two-track release.

A-side "Villose", already on high rotation throughout the summer, comes with a heavy synth-line and paired up extra-ordinary sounds and breaks. Whilst the slightly more restrained B-side, "Pavid" pairs perfectly with the earlier or later hours through the night.

In the midst of a crazy summer touring schedule including all kinds of festival dates and on the cusp of a Kompakt debut forthcoming shortly, Jonathan Kaspar has clearly made massive strides since the last EP. We are more than thrilled to welcome him back to These Eyes for his second EP.

JOHANNES BRECHT seeks the sublime with lead track “Synesthetic” – a delicate yet potent entry that was inspired by the condition called synesthesia, a perceptual condition in which the stimulation of one sense triggers an automatic, involuntary experience in another sense. Flipside “Matter” leans more to to the left-field where found sounds mingle to a simmering bass drum. The bonus track “Particulate” furthers Johannes’ vast capabilities as a musician by playing E-Bow on an medieval instrument called the Dulcimer - the results reflect and depth and beauty rarely heard in dance music. 

Overall, his “Dust EP” finds beauty through minimalistic arrangement.

'Ethereal Sex’ is the 3rd release to come on already acclaimed label Gypsy, whose past releases have been supported by a fierce cast of artists in electronic music. 

In this release, founder and producer Rudi Calcagnile returns under his new alias ‘Clang’, releasing three slabs of underground techno, oscillating between old school fast techno and hard house. The EP draws influence from a spectrum of adjacent styles between late 90s and early 00s techno, taking inspiration from artists like Surgeon, The Advent, Funk D’Void and Dave Angel as well as labels such as Tresor, Soma and Rotation Records. 

A1 ‘Meritocracy’ kicks off the EP with a distorted funky sequence which gradually reveals a bangin' hard house track, pervaded by heavy kicks, aggressive snares and extreme sharpened hi-hats. Massive! 

The sound becomes more industrial and crispy in A2 ‘Under The Sun’. The track immediately caught our attention with a mix of flattened industrial beats, gritty shakers and a funk bassline that create a tremendous tight groove which explodes in a multitude of powerful elements: dirty chord stabs, chopped vocals, snappy 808 snares, electric guitar riffs. Heater! 

On the flip, like in a secret rendezvous, a gentle-syncopated kick introduces us into a higher dimension where vibrant filtered chord stabs and a vigorous bassline come together as two bodies in a whirlwind of passion...until soaring cinematic strings and punchy 909 snares proclaim a sublime state of pleasure that only a selected few would call ‘Ethereal Sex’! 

GYPSY003 is a one time thing, no distribution, no repress.

In light of the current Covid-19 Pandemic Studio Enisslab headed up by Italian DJ / Producer and Live Act Neel has announced the release of a very special 56 track charity compilation project, fundraising for The Red Cross, who are working extremely hard alongside health services internationally that are feeling the effects of the corona-virus outbreak the most right now. 

This special release features over 6 hours of previously unreleased and unheard material, where an all star cast of artists were encouraged to share music that reflects this time we are living in.
