'With a mission statement to spread "full-energy progressive sounds to a global audience", SHAZZE is an artist with a culturally diverse background. From Indian roots and a life spent largely in the UK, his graduation from the London Sound Academy has subsequently seen him flourish with performances at London's Ministry of Sound and EGG LDN. Furthermore, a production career that began in early 2021 has quickly led to releases on Einmusika, BeatFreak, UV, and ICONYC. Making his Perspectives Digital debut in December 2022 with his his hit track "Lucy", SHAZZE returns to the label with a new single titled "No Time To Waste".

"No Time To Waste" is full of driving Melodic Techno character as a 16th note bassline and syncopated synth phrase add immediate urgency. Quickly hitting its stride via a smooth melodic lead and growling bass note, light vocal phrasing adds a further layer of intrigue and spine-tingling emotion. A superbly imagined breakdown creates a powerful zenith before melodic prowess and driving rhythmic force return in the second half to dynamic effect.

With a string of successful releases in 2023 and a Beatport #1 hit to his name, Nihil Young has consistently found himself dining at dance music's top table with his self-confessed "expressive and captivating soundscapes". Spotify success has followed with more than 250,000 monthly listeners and over 10 million streams for his tracks "Don't Give Up", "Say", and "Hey Now". For his long-awaited return on Perspectives, Nihil's reworking of "No Time To Waste" is a smooth, Progressive House gem. Through a rolling percussive top-line and effortless bass groove, the remix intelligently uses the central themes and vocal phrasing of SHAZZE's original while changing the key and creating a spellbinding work. Far Distance are the final artists to showcase their dynamic production credentials. Spanning almost a decade dating back to a debut in mid-2014, the Spanish duo's blend of Progressive House and Melodic House & Techno has seen them feature on a panoply of high-profile imprints that include Einmusika, Eleatics, Dear Deer, and Astral Records. Their "Stardust" EP in late 2021 brought notable success on Perspectives Digital before "Alfa Centauri" continued that success a year later. Now returning for their 5th release on Darin Epsilon's label, the Far Distance rework brilliantly retains the central melodic motif of the original mix while framing it within a powerful new rhythmic foundation and crisp percussive shell. Building with consummate ease to a rousing mid-point denouement, their version elevates "No Time To Waste" to a club banger before striking bass and familiar melodic patterns return to see out a hypnotic final movement.'

TAU proudly welcomes Sam Shure to our planet of musical wonder and discovery. The Berliner has been making waves since 2016, carrying on his family lineage by taking up music (his father is a renowned Egyptian jazz musician). Over the past seven years, Sam’s upwards trajectory has been buoyed by his natural talent and ability to weave organic sounds from a variety of sources into his productions. As a DJ and a producer, he embodies a worldly approach, utilising a myriad of sounds from around the globe to bring a distinctly human element to his compositions. The title track kicks off this four-tracker with a menacing, though pensive vibe. A combination of jaunty digital elements and a vicious riff gives the track balance. Before we know it, there’s a haunting, string-led breakdown, which gives us a little breather before we return to the ominous atmosphere.

‘Frontal’ is next, rolling out with a more pumping, tribal rhythm. Vocal clips and sounds are joined by the familiar funk of a ‘wah wah’ guitar, creating an effortless groove. Sam’s technical ability and musicality really comes through with the short breakdown and gnarly second half, with a superb switch up.

After that it’s ‘Maybe’, which features more of Sam’s exemplary drum programming. A soulful female vocal pops in and out of the background to give us a serenade. As the track progresses, it becomes more energised, an urgent riff drops in, and the vocals gain more prominence. By the time we enter the second half, the vibes are high and there’s unbridled dancing…

Lastly, ‘See Yourself’ takes it back to those primal, tribal elements with the beats going to work from the very beginning. A dense low end rumbles away, and a vocal clip appears intermittently to add dynamism to this cut. In typical style for Sam, this one progresses in a mesmerising manner. As he adds new layers of melody and harmony to the cut, the tension increases, and we’re locked into its groove.
