Woykes Studioalbum “Shrimpfarm In The Jungle” /Instrumental/Jazz/ Ambient/ House
If LEVON VINCENT´s piano kit, the latest album of SA PA on MANA and the releases of SLOWLIFE would have a child, they would send it for holiday to the SHRIMPFARM IN THE JUNGLE!
The opening track, (1) Place Beyond Danger (Atm.), welcomes us with deep chords and distant typing textures to the new outcome of Woykes forgotten drafts. Here is some serious stuff for you Ambient- Jazz-Instrumental-Dream Music-Lover, whatever!
(2) Movements on Surface (Christian) pops up with a dubby bright gloss, which is carried on by a warm baseline and flows out into the shifts of a dynamic percussion and its storytelling drive.
(3) Reflections (Ambient stuff6) is a mysterious sounds cape, which evokes visuals of all these lost places, recaptured by Mother Nature and saved from the industrial outgrowths of human mankind.
(4) Under The Shells (Ambientdorothy) is a dark and twisted dystopian theme for urban explorers. Surrounded by a constantly steaming background, the level of poetic distortion, woyke has created, gives the album an overwhelming true sadness. There is healing stuff in here!
With (5) Naive Experiments/Human Decisions (comingunder) we have these forgiving piano lines we need, when all shit comes together.
(6) Breaking Out (probiluciambient) incorporates heavenly running synths and weird guitar jazziness with a groovy flow of drums.
(7) Wet Landscapes (grseew) is that what we call a ticket to the land of waving synthwork and flying shrimps!
(8) Export (rdtchjVersion2)`s essential cheeky funkiness, is this you fall in love with, while trying to bust a move of the romping rhythm, which works insane with the lightning piano keys.
Through the deep echoes of (9) Recovered Collapse (Aftr_longWeekEndBluesAmbient) we get in touch with woykes way to say goodbye, while sleeping on a couch and dreaming of his lost place in the jungle.
