ਭਾਦੁਇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਣੀਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਲਗਾ ਹੇਤੁ ॥
ਲਖ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਜਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੇਤੁ ॥
ਜਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਦੇਹ ਬਿਨਸਸੀ ਤਿਤੁ ਵੇਲੈ ਕਹਸਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਤੁ ॥
ਪਕੜਿ ਚਲਾਇਨਿ ਦੂਤ ਜਮ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਦੇਨੀ ਭੇਤੁ ॥
ਛਡਿ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਖਿਨੈ ਮਾਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਲਗਾ ਹੇਤੁ ॥
ਹਥ ਮਰੋੜੈ ਤਨੁ ਕਪੇ ਸਿਆਹਹੁ ਹੋਆ ਸੇਤੁ ॥
ਜੇਹਾ ਬੀਜੈ ਸੋ ਲੁਣੈ ਕਰਮਾ ਸੰਦੜਾ ਖੇਤੁ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਚਰਣ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਤੁ ॥
ਸੇ ਭਾਦੁਇ ਨਰਕਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਰਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੇਤੁ ॥੭॥ - ਅੰਗ ੧੩੪

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਆਸਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਉ ਕੇ ਚਉਪਦੇ ਇਕਤੁਕੇ ॥
Aasaa Of Kabeer Jee, Chau-Padhay, Ek-Thukay:

ਸਨਕ ਸਨੰਦ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
ਸਨਕ ਸਨੰਦ (ਆਦਿਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ) ਨੇ ਭੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ) ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਾ, 
Sanak and Sanand, the sons of Brahma, could not find the Lord's limits.

ਬੇਦ ਪੜੇ ਪੜਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਚੇ ਵੇਦ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਉਮਰ (ਵਿਅਰਥ) ਗਵਾ ਲਈ ।੧।
Brahma wasted his life away, continually reading the Vedas. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਬਿਲੋਵਨਾ ਬਿਲੋਵਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ! ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੋ, 
Churn the churn of the Lord, O my Siblings of Destiny.

ਸਹਜਿ ਬਿਲੋਵਹੁ ਜੈਸੇ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੁ (ਇਸ ਉੱਦਮ ਦਾ) ਤੱਤ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਨਾਹ ਰਹੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਬਣ ਸਕੇ) ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Churn it steadily, so that the essence, the butter, may not be lost. ||1||Pause||

ਤਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਟੁਕੀ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਬਿਲੋਈ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਟੀ ਬਣਾਓ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹੀ ਜੋਤ ਲੱਭਣੀ ਹੈ); ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਟਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਈ ਰੱਖੋ
Make your body the churning jar, and use the stick of your mind to churn it.

ਇਸੁ ਮਟੁਕੀ ਮਹਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੰਜੋਈ ॥੨॥
ਇਹ ਮਧਾਣੀ ਬਣਾਓ; ਇਸ (ਸਰੀਰ-ਰੂਪ) ਚਾਟੀ ਵਿਚ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ) ਸ਼ਬਦ-ਰੂਪ ਜਾਗ ਲਾਓ (ਜੋ ਸਿਮਰਨ-ਰੂਪ ਦੁੱਧ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਤੱਤ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਿਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੇ) ।੨।
Gather the curds of the Word of the Shabad. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਬਿਲੋਵਨਾ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ-ਰੂਪ ਰਿੜਕਣ ਦਾ ਆਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, 
The churning of the Lord is to reflect upon Him within your mind.

ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਧਾਰਾ ॥੩॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਰੂਪ) ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
By Guru's Grace, the Ambrosial Nectar flows into us. ||3||

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਜੇ ਮਂੀਰਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਅਸਲ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹ
Says Kabeer, if the Lord, our King casts His Glance of Grace,

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਗਿ ਉਤਰੇ ਤੀਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੦॥
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ) ਪਾਰਲੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਜਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੧।੧੦।
one is carried across to the other side, holding fast to the Lord's Name. ||4||1||10||
