***PANJ GRANTHI UTHANKA: GAURI BAVAN AKHRI M:5*** Saadhsangat Ji, following on from our Nitnem Uthanka series, we are pleased to announce a new weekly series starting next week, going through each of the Uthankas of the Panj Granthi Pothi Sahib Baania. This series is dedicated to the 50th Barsi of Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, from whose ocean of Katha we have uploaded these small historical pearls of wisdom. So what is an 'Uthanka'? Uthanka (ਉਥਾਨਕਾ) comes from the Sanskrit Uthanika (ਉੱਥਾ‍ਨਿਕਾ) originates from the word Uthaan (ਉਥਾਨ) - from where something rises.

Uthankas present the context of:
- where a Baani has been recited
- by whom it was recited
- to whom it was recited
- why it was recited

These Uthankas have been passed in the Samparda (traditional lineages) of Giani Singhs and Sant Mahapurash from generation to generation in written and spoken form. This week we start this series by uploading the Uthanka of Sri Bavan Akhri Baani. The tracks today explain the following questions: Why did Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji recite the Bavan Akhri? To whom was this Bani recited? What is the 'Mahattam' of this Baani? What is the importance of reciting 'Ehu Salok Aad Anth Parrna' after the completion of Bavan Akhri. All these questions have been answered in detail in the two attached clips by Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale & Sant Giani Inderjeet Singh Ji (Vidhiarthi Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji) .
