A monstrous crow came down to glide.
Its wings spread out, dark as night,
Giving both little heroes quite a fright.

With one loud caw, it swooped so low,
That both forgot their fight to show.
They huddled close, side by side,
Watching the crow with eyes stretched wide.

Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee
    Resolved to have a battle,
For Tweedle-dum said Tweedle-dee
    Had spoiled his nice new rattle.

Just then flew by a monstrous crow,
    As big as a tar barrel,
Which frightened both the heroes so,
    They quite forgot their quarrel.

When it flew off, they blinked and sighed,
The quarrel gone, their anger died.
For what was a rattle compared to that bird?
They laughed together, no longer stirred.

So Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee,
Learned there’s more than they could see.
With troubles shared and worries gone,
They skipped away as friends at dawn.
