SOPHIE - HARD (Industrial Edit)

From an obsession of the cities from the present, past, future and science fiction, i present you here a mix of a few sounds that reminded me of the beauty, the unknown and the tragédie of humanity's future. Skyscrappers in the sky, towers above the clouds, Motherships in space, voyage of our minds and our bodies in the infinite universe. I chose the theme of the megacity because to me it represents everything of humanity. Culture, architecture, life, work, mind and thinking, here it lies, deeply in our cities. What will they become ? Will they rise from the ground to eternity ? The question and the answers will remain, forever. 
I drew my inspiration from movies like Blade Runner (1982), Dune (1965), Metropolis (1927), Akira (1988), Ghost in the shell (1989) 2001 Space Odyssey (1968), The Matrix (1999), Minority Report (2002), Juge Dredd because of Megacity One lol, don't judge me, Immortel Ad Vitam (2004), and many many more Artists and Musicians who have paved the way to our generations.

So i started this idea by vaping french songs only by slowing them down, and i made the first volume of French Vaporwave that i uploaded on January 2023 on Youtube. i'm not that much a fan of this song in particular, but i must say i watched the videoclip of Laurent Boutonnat and mylène Farmer several times, and i always thought it was funny, a lil bit trashy, historic, nasty and rythmic but also i was touched by it's mysterious and mesmerizing music and the theme of life and death going in and out. Anyway, so i sampled the original soundtrack of "Pourvu qu'elles soient douces" by Mylène Farmer (1988)

My very first Album in the name of Usufruit, i just learned that word while creating my own business. Usufruit started these songs in 2019 and finished them tonight. It's very nightmusic, hip-hop / Lofi / Ambient / Experimental, electronic, house, chill, instrumental, with a bit of plunderphonic, Vaporwave, and sometimes improvisations on a synth. (First and last songs)

Usufruct is conferring the right to use and the right to the fruit of a thing belonging to another. In French law, usufruct is defined as "the right to enjoy things owned by another, like the owner himself, but with the obligation to preserve their substance ".

"Usus " is a Latin word meaning "use", as is "fructus", meaning "enjoyment". Together they make up the word "usufruct", which means the right to use and enjoy the fruits, the income, of a property whose "bare ownership" belongs to another person. The usufructuary thus has the "usus" and the "fructus", but his right is limited by the obligation to preserve the substance of the thing in order to eventually return it to the bare owner who has retained the "abusus", the ability to sell, give away, grant a commercial lease, or destroy the property.

I listened to the whole KB vinyl and i fell in love with the song "Under Ice" and i might also re-edit "watching you without me", "Mother stand for comfort" and "EARTH" all in different styles 
 
This remix was really made for fun and hobby, i always love to add some bass and kick on songs who doesn't have percussions.

Should I change the last drop to something more like House ? IDK to me this last part breaks the song, anyway.
