Following the same trajectory as our past visits to the arrays, we set out to curate a specific theme for our latest flight through worldwide sonics. This time, we picked up the pace and guided the series towards the realm of jungle and drum 'n' bass - an unaddressed foundation of our label until now.  

As heard in Label Showcase 01 earlier this year, we welcome @stiipo with "Drowning In Your Magic" - a lovely rendition of atmospheric jungle. Though this is his project debut on our collective, Swedish producer Nils Kirchberg is no stranger to Satellite Era. He also writes UK garage as Lazarus Moment and delivered a well-received EP for our previous release. Even when trekking into the dense soundscapes of jungle, he keeps his style alive to deliver an emotive track full of warm pads clashing with punchy breaks.

Welcoming himself as a new addition to our team, Chicago-based producer @norfik greets us with a face-melting jungle track that steps on the tempo throttle and meddles with breakcore antics. "Artificial Decay" surely feels like its denotation - radioactive in its core with an acidic synth and unforgivable drums. It pays a high-speed homage to quintessential jungle, from its vocal samples to chopped-up Think Break. With stellar releases on PBDY's Tar imprint, we are very grateful to have him on board.

Another promising add-on to the crew is local drum 'n' bass connoisseur @johnathanthomasmusic. Having been involved in the niche Chicago DnB scene for years now, he reemerges from the underground with "Brute Force," a screaming, bass-heavy track that still retains a peculiar percussive groove. The song feels straight out of an early 2000s DnB record, flaunting its high energy and tear-out mentality. Old-school sounds meet pristine modern production in this one.

Finally, we welcome back @zunibass for another translation of his drum 'n' bass language. A true multi-faceted craftsman in the genre, the Michigan producer delivers "Growth" - soft yet attentive, this soulful track embodies its name and displays his development over the past year, from his label debut in Distant Arrays Volume 02. He continues to show us that less is more by utilizing minimalism and giving us a glimpse into the future with arguably some of his best work yet.

Distant Arrays is an immersive showcase of our audio/visual capabilities as a collective. We are honored to introduce you to our growing team, continuously expanding our newfound interpretation of sound.

For a label that prides itself on its multi-genre and often high energy approach to electronic music, it seemed almost inevitable that Durkle Disco would end up working with Fork and Knife. There’s no doubting the currently Bristol-based producer has an impeccable track record of churning out certified bangers for the likes of 4NC¥, 1Forty & In:Flux Audio. However, categorising them is a bit harder – his style being a melting pot made up of equal parts Grime, Garage & UK Funky; all genres close to Durkle hearts. For his debut on the label, Fork and Knife teams up with Gloucester MC Griz-O for the hard-hitting yet unashamedly fun ‘My Kinda Setting’. Griz-O is as prolific as he is versatile – as releases and co-signs from the likes of Duploc, Crucast & Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood imprint can attest. If his previous Durkle release ‘Night Steppa’ (alongside SPD) was an ode to post-club but pre-dawn antics and some of nightlife’s freakier inhabitants, then ‘My Kinda Setting’ is aimed squarely at the dancefloor, as Griz-O breaks down his kinda setting for a perfect night out.

First released in 2013, the track "Nobody" by Teklife crew duo Tripletrain (DBK & Mel G) became a cult favorite among producers, djs, and club goers alike. It features distorted lyrics and samples from the classic single Are You That Somebody by Aaliyah, along with tons of drums, chords, and patterns which sound just as refreshing as they did when the EP "Just For Decoration Pt 2" was first released by Tripletrain 9 years ago. They've collected remixes over the years from some of their friends and favorite artists. These are those remixes! ENJOY
