So it happened that i finished the first season of Stranger Things today.. as i not wanted the feeling to pass by quickly i sat down and sketched a bit around with the moog on my couch & improvised a very similar piece of music reflecting the mood of the series .. Sharing this for fun with you guys out there. 

PS.: As Stranger Things 2 just got released there will be a buyable extended version of this track released in december in High quality mastering! Enjoy this one till then :)

"Notes against the Current“ was completely patched and composed on a modular synth. Since there’s no technical possibility to edit or save the music, most of the tracks are more or less  unique live recordings, with the modular acting as a canvas for moods and memories being reflected in the moment of patching the tracks. 

HHNOI’s music is like an evolving soundtrack, with harmonies and melodies you would not expect coming out of machinery that is often being ridiculed for sounding like rather car alarm sounds than listenable music. Nevertheless, HHNOI is far from being easy. As with his former projects, Petracca likes to break with expectations, by transforming enchantingly melancholic and lush harmonies and melodies into walls of feedback noises.

We are up for an early spring this year at Art Vibes with a bright and sparkling 3-track EP by french producer Max Tenrom. Strengthened by intense touring and studio time since the release of Skydiver in June 2019, Max delivers his sonically perfect Lotus. 

‘Lotus' conveys strong emotions straight from the first notes. We are oscillating on soft waves, an aura of nostalgia sheltering us from the outside world. Reflecting on ourselves, we acknowledge a strong hope and feel at peace. How else can you feel when you're drifting on infinite seas, warmed up by fluffy sun rays. 

Warm sounds and organic noises describe ‘Far West' best. Breakbeat rhythms and chopped vocal stabs collide to forge an immense yet reassuring space. Smooth and prone to colorful imagination, this one is for the eternal dreamers. 

With ‘Tears', Max Tenrom merges his early sound signature with new dreamy sounds. The scenery is set through the arpeggio played on warm analog synths giving a slightly harder feel to the otherwise delicate jazzy beat. Wandering through luxurious woodlands, we hear hints of lush guitars. Distant, they drag deeper into a sumptuous and astonishing expedition.
