Stockholm-based DJ and producer MOLØ makes her Anjunadeep EP debut with her four-track ‘Hymn EP’.

Following up on her remix of Eli & Fur’s ‘Wild Skies’ from earlier in the year, MOLØ has been releasing on Jeremy Olander’s label Vivrant, Moscoman’s Disco Halal and Marc Romboy’s Systematic. She’s resident at Vivrant’s global showcase events and is coming off shows with Amê, Dixon as well as her second appearance at Anjunadeep Explorations.

Opening the EP is ‘Ales’, a downtempo electronic track that incorporates intricate rhythms with ambient textures. ‘Alden’ features swelling strings and breakbeat drums whilst title-track ‘Hymn’ leads with echoing synths. Blending cinematic pads and percussive laden grooves, MOLØ rounds off the EP with ‘Uman’.

Ferry Tayle & Static Blue had quite a 2009 with their huge L'Acrobat release doing the business across the summer months. With a bulging gig diary including Trance Energy, Ferry now looks certain to be one of the big stories of 2010. Kicking of 2010 in quite emphatic style, the duo land with the long awaited follow up, Trapeze. Having seen heavy support to all the mixes on Armin's ASOT (Tune of the Week) and Above & Beyond's TATW, the hype is a boiling point already for this superb release. The original has everything you want in an uplifting trance track; drive, power, lush melodies and heavenly vocals. Returning to the progressive trance sound that he initially built his name on, Artem Stoliarov aka Arty reprises the well-loved Alpha 9 alias for his latest Anjunabeats outing alongside London duo Koven.

Following a series of Arty instrumentals on the label throughout 2016 including ‘Patriots’ and ‘Follow The Light’ (alongside Andrew Bayer), ‘Only Good Mistake’ feat. Koven surprisingly marks the Russian producer’s first ever vocal single on Anjunabeats.

A vocalist and producer duo in the bass world, Max Rowat and Katie Boyle aka Koven have released on a number of renowned labels including Viper Recordings and Monstercat. 

Recent years have seen Arty himself explore all sides of the electronic music world, most noticeably in 2015’s diverse and experimental ‘Glorious’ LP. Elsewhere his mix for Moby’s iconic ‘Porcelain’ showed a deeper, broken beat side to his sound. 

In ‘Only Good Mistake’, however, the Russian producer defines a clear, singular melodic progressive house sound that has all the hallmarks of a festival hit and bodes well for the rebirth of the Alpha 9 alias.
