From doorgirl, vendor, photographer and promoter for various production companies in Washington D.C., Baltimore, and New York City, Niki Slik has managed to establish herself as an iconic social figure in the club scene along the East Coast for over a decade. Niki Slik aspired to be a vocalist and discovered her flair for the administrative side of the music business through networking. Her first job was as the Sunday Night Sessions doorgirl where she would periodically get on the mic to sing during DJ's sets. In 2003, Niki released her first demo with original songs produced by I-CUE. She also bought her first pair of decks from one of her best friends, DJ Lantern, and began learning to spin records. She started out spinning sets which fit her musical styles of choice, Old Skool Jump Up and early Tech Step Drum and Bass. The following year, in 2004, Niki Slik made her club debut during the Winter Music Conference in Miami at the Hipstep Party. Upon her return, she started rocking warehouse parties, bars, house parties, and various events all over the D.C./Baltimore Metro Area. 
After a 4 year hiatus, Niki Slik returned to music in 2009 and made her presence known... Loudly. She began singing again. However, her official return to DJing was at the last R.I.O.T., a Tribalistix event, where she opened the party by spinning an Old Skool Jungle set and closed it by getting up on the bar and singing. Since then, Niki Slik has made various appearances to showcase her skills of both DJing and singing across the area. With some inspiration from her mentor and friend, I-CUE, she also recently began producing tracks under the name Remixmaster Slik. She has also been writing lyrics and working on original beats with plans to release her own new songs under the name Beatmaster Slik. By honing her DJ skills, singing, and production abilities, she hopes to one day achieve her ultimate goal to earn the title GrandMaster Slik. Niki is also currently collaborating with other artists and producers on some exciting new music projects. Stay tuned and get ready to rock out to this girl!
