Singer-Songwriter Nikka won her first MTV-Award at the age of 12, when MTV-Asia did a talent search and her band emerged as the winner out of 70,000+ artist entries. She was signed to a major record label in the Philippines during her teen years, and single-handedly wrote and composed most of the songs in their debut album. Their band W.Y.R.D.'s debut single "Scream" (written and composed by Nikka) topped the charts nationwide. 

During Nikka's time off the music scene, she went to college and majored in Multimedia Arts. Then later worked in the media advertising business, where she spent five years at 20th Century Fox. On the side, she continued to write songs for other artists and screened entries/nominations for music awards.

In late 2017, she moved her life to Los Angeles, where she is now rediscovering her own music full-time. She is also active in the world of video live-streaming and runs a talent agency for video live-streamers that covers different types of family-friendly content: music, gaming, make-up tutorials, etc.
