This was a song that Tayla and I recorded at Blackhole Studios with Chris Tait through Check Know Prevent and Jenny De Oliveira, in honour of our best friend, Velisa Sishuba who lost her battle with cancer in February 2020. 
She would've been 24 on the 7th of July. 
She is deeply loved and greatly missed.

This is a tribute to my 22 year old best friend and sister in Christ, Velisa Sishuba, who tragically passed away on the 17th of February 2020 after a long journey, suffering from cancer. She once said to me, “Eventually, after all those tears, the numbness and pain, your heart does start to heal and when it flickers again and your hope comes back, when your faith, love and feelings come back, embrace them. Don’t, don’t let go. It’s gonna be okay, it really is.” As you said in your final voice note, this is not goodbye, this is “I’ll see you again, I’ll see you a little later”.
It’s been a long day without you my friend, but I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again.
