With roots stemming from the South American country of Guyana, this Indo-Caribbean singer & songwriter aims to spread the energy found in those parts of the world through music and positive vibes. The goal is simply to make you feel something!

Born as Jose’ Alejandro Ribeiro on May, 16th 1987, the life of “The Red Spaniard” the DJ began in the year 2000. At the gentle age of 13 the music industry would seem like no place for a teen however, against all odds paired with his love for music, Red using his initial alias “Spaniard Sounds” would bring life to house parties and limes. With maturity setting in and the development of his skill coupled with much criticism from his closet colleagues about his alias as a DJ, Red decided that once again he would go back to the drawing board and in the year 2002 he was then known as “Infared Sounds” . 

Two years later, it was brought to his attention that the name “Infared Sounds” had already been in use by another DJ for quite some time and he had no other option but to conform and change yet again. Thus, 2004 saw the demise of “Infared Sounds” and breathed life to “X – Factor Sounds”. Finally he was pleased, “X – Factor Sounds” become a household name in his humble town of Tunapuna. Everyone liked it, and it remained the name he advertised fully after becoming the house DJ in a small nightclub called “Club Pure Energy” in Tunapuna which welcomed jobs as a DJ for parties in U.W.I and a few popular house party events.

It was the year 2006 for his birthday that his career as a DJ became full circle and totally kicked off when he impressed the music sound “Demolition Muzik” who are renowned for their inspiring skills in the industry. He was welcomed to join their team for various weddings, events and parties. Within this period moving around with this group his eyes were opened to a new range and possibilities for him as a DJ and now Event Promoter as he would even host his own events at this time. 

He would soon receive an offer from them that he could not refuse, that offer was to become a permanent member of the most “controversial sound” in the Caribbean Demolition Muzik. However, to accept this offer he had to detach himself from all previous names and finally reign as “The Red Spaniard” aka “The Red Assassin” from then till present.

As if things couldn’t get any better, they did! The team was then offered an opportunity to be on radio alongside some of Trinidad and Tobago’s top veterans in the industry; The Godfather StarChild and Dr. Hyde just to mention a few, this journey began on 104.7 More FM. The Red Spaniard dominated the airwaves with two (2) primetime shifts on radio. Tuesdays 3pm-6pm-(Out & Bad Tuesdays) where they released all the new music in all genres and Sundays 12pm-3pm- (The River Lime) where actual Trini River Lime was showcased on Radio with all the top Soca, Chutney, Pan, Rhythm Section and Tassa music. 

Demoltion Muzik remained on radio until 2008 and soared further into their musical journey. From the J’ouvert Band Blue Bratz to the streets for mas on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, followed by cool downs on Ash Wednesday and a number of fetes for intermittent music between bands they were called upon to render their skill. Their name was called in almost every event and club like “Prive Night Club, Coco Lounge, Taj Mahal Night Club, Club Aquarios, Potionz Night Club and Tzar Night Life”.

Under the “Demolition Muzik 3.0”band wagon the Red Spaniard remains tearing up the charts in all the top clubs and parties in Trinidad and the neighboring Caribbean bringing class and entertainment to cater to each type of event that is presented.
