To welcome in the new year, Omid 16B’s SexOnWax Recordings announces ‘As The Earth Spins’, one last indulgence for the festive period! Each of the 22 tracks selected for this release have special resonance for the label, Opening with the mysterious sounds of Feroziana remixing “The Price of Spirit”, Danny Howells’ classic ’Spikes’, Omid 16B and Hernan Cattaneo’s superb ‘Disco Biscuit’, all the way to ‘FB5000’ from the illustrious Dale Middleton. Label artist Alex George features deservedly in this bumper pack, which moves towards a more low-slung, under-stated aesthetic as it closes courtesy of Dousk’s remix, with Randall Jones’s techno repositioning of ‘The Drive Home’ definitely a classic in the making.

Dave Seaman is one of the original movers and shakers of the UK house movement. He has been DJing for over 25 years and has played in over 70 countries around the world. He was an original editor of the clubbers bible, Mixmag, and has remixed and produced for everybody from David Bowie to New Order and Kylie Minogue to the Pet Shop Boys. He has also done over 20 mix compilations for the likes of Global Underground, Renaissance & Radio 1's Essential Mix and also been the main man behind the independent dance music labels, Stress Records, Audio Therapy and now his new imprint, Selador Recordings. Quite simply, Dave Seaman is one of the legends of electronic house music.

'Right side Of Wrong' is a throbbing club destroyer, full of attitude, punchy and driving, with a dark slant, yet uplifting melodies, this beautifully layered gem oozes class and is destined to do some serious dance floor damage, personifying a DJ on top of their game.

Label favourites and all round good guys Guy Mantzur & Lonya take control of remix duties, creating a blissful journey with a silky blanket of sound creating an alluring soundscape. A very accomplished reworking.

The latest EP on Respekt Recordings combines techno talent from Germany and France, as GNTN and The Reactivitz join forces for the release of Gravity. 

The EP is a strong outing from this collaboration, which is expected from artists that include labels such as Endless Music, Toolroom and Phobiq in their resumés.  The original track is mechanical and industrial in nature, with heavy drums and catchy bass synths throughout. For his remix Giorgio Rusconi adds a darker touch to the track, turning it into a broody and captivating techno piece perfect for peak-time play.
