Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection. 

The first of three samplers features Acronym, Ben Buitendijk and Voiski. Acronym's track '16 Cygni' is a sci-fi bit of techno that is speedy, slick and intergalactic, whilst Ben Buitendijk offers up some Millsian, streamlined techno urgency with his 'Colourblind' and finally Voiski gets all elastic and industrial tinged with his whip lashing effort.

Very few artists have influenced the sound of house and techno as much as Roman Flügel.  Having been active since the early 90’s under various aliases, few have been revered so widely as a DJ, live performer, producer, remixer, intellectual and record label owner.  The record labels he helped found, Ongaku, Klang and Playhouse, are pivotal imprints in the electronic music scene, and his ability to gracefully incorporate and master most styles of 4/4 has seen him create a range of genres from techno, house, electro, ambient, IDM, downtempo, and acid house.  Respected both as a solo artist and collaborator, this veteran of the scene has just ticked the label’s bucket list with an incredible double vinyl for Hypercolour. 
6 tracks of highly polished techno/electronica cover a range of tempos and styles on ‘Monday Brain’, a double pack vinyl to be released this October.  Flügel demonstrates his ability to morph his sound with the times, and displays his breadth of sound design magnificently over the release. 
Cosmic IDM sensibilities are explored on EP opener ‘Teenage Engineering’, building in harmony and texture, and a fine example of Flügel’s melodic sound, whilst ‘Make It Happen’ captures more psychedelic touches over a solid groove.
‘Man Sees The Face God Sees The Heart’ goes as deep as the title suggests, rhythmic sounds melodically ride over minimal beats and luscious bass in a stirring slice of modern electronica, whilst ‘Church Of Dork’ wigs out like the very best Chicago house records, its synth motif worming around the jacked up beats.  ‘Picnic For Players’ comes ready with blissful and melancholic riffs, dipped in warm reverb for a classic sounding piece, and the EP closes in fine style with the shadowy ‘Vegetarian Leather Jackets’.

Even after two decades of music production and arrangement, Flügel shows no sign of dipping in the quality control department, and ‘Monday Brain’ is a testament to this producer who is clearly heading into the prime of his career, displaying an effortless knack of creating timeless dance.

Jonas Kopp and Tresor have shared a bright and prosperous musical relationship for some years now, propelled further forward with Photon Belt.

Following Jonas’ debut album Beyond the Hypnosis in 2014, accompanied by the Red Plented EP (2014) and the HHH EP (2015), the Argentinian artist delivers a new full-length to the Berlin’s legendary imprint which will release on May 5th on double vinyl and digital formats.

This new opus is dedicated to a cosmic phenomenon our solar system experiences every 11,000 years. The photon belt is a band of intense light energy into which our star and its planets moves into for a duration of about 2,000 years. As part of the Pledian star group, our sun circles around the star named Alcyon, itself located at all times in the photon belt. Other stars, including ours, move in and out of it for varying periods of time, depending on their orbit.
Our way into the belt has already begun and will continue over the next five years. The result? Mankind in its darkest hour paralleled with consciousness rising to further dimensions.

Expect a thoughtful and mature labor from Jonas Kopp’s mesmerizing 10-track journey, on which the Argentine’s contemporary methods in production meet traditional techno constituents. Throughout the album, different sidereal interludes arch over to his Telluric Lines side project, which he presented at the 2016 edition of the Berlin Atonal festival.
Crucial titles such as “Galactic Core”, “Aile”, the eponymous “Photon Belt” and “5D World” are set to leave a large footprint in the continuous sequence of electronic music.

Charlotte de Witte is back on Sleaze Records after her outstanding debut earlier this year! Her second effort for the label features 4 quality original tracks, each bringing a different vibe, showing the variation of her production talent. The title track 'Wisdom' is the biggest of the bunch, having a huge impact in the peak moments. 'I'll See You Tonight' is more dark & driving, with a stand out vocal cut. 'Sending Them' is a stripped down, loopy groover and 'Maelstrom' rounds off the EP nicely with a pounding beat, a crazy warped vocal and hard hitting percussive elements.

Wisdom (Original Mix)

@EtappKyle’s first full Ostgut Ton EP release sees the Ukrainian-born, Berlin-based Berghain resident emphasizing the connection between spaces, while avoiding Techno’s overt intergalactic clichés. By partially linking to his ‘Continuum EP’ (Unterton, 2016), the results are four tracks of pristine, sci-fi minimalism, propelled by Ambient synths and percussive explosions in distant skies – more utopian than dystopian.
