Back In The Day

As I watch the world go on and  pass me by

I sit and wonder what I'm doing with my time



Why do my thoughts haunt me with bad memories?

I never sought to be the one to let you get away from me




I must have tried it a thousand times

but something clouds my mind

It shakes and twists my insides 

And that's why I  act so odd and shy




I'll try today

I'll try to shake this feeling away

But If you just can't understand, 

Then I'll choose another path






In my head there goes a fleeting memory

a familiar nuance to my heart

Then I know that everything will be okay

I relive the good days but they seem to always be replaced...




Why do my thoughts haunt me with bad memories?

Why don't my thoughts fill me with ecstasy?

I  wouldn't mind for a change cuz I'm just so used to my anxiety.
