Juniper was written to be performed with an immersive staging, where the audience is surrounded by the performers. The strings and percussion may be arranged in a fairly standard orchestral configuration, but with enough spacing to create a slight semicircle around the front of the audience. The crotales and horns should be placed at a distance from the rest of the performers, completing the circle opposite the strings and percussion.
