Acid Culture - Night In Desert

It has almost been two years since the debut Dub Warriors compilation's release. Although it's been a long wait. And the memories of the first volume have petered to an echo (quite a sustained echo at that). Our slow build up of anticipation has not been in vain... This new edition of productions has made us, at the TDP HQ. Proud, and honoured to have the privilege of compiling such an array of astounding directions in electronic music. The Dub Warriors have joined forces once again. Forging sounds set to bathe ears in familiar waters, and others which resonate the ripples of possibilities, choices and change. These twelve tracks of complete and utter sonic pleasure, reveal to us yet another genre binding pot of gold. By coincidence, the twelve artists have intuitively designed a compilation which reveals a story of legend, blending in to the story of 'the now'. From beginning to end we can hear and feel a development which is hard to describe. Whilst at the start we can appreciate the simplistic, satisfying, minimal and technical nature of bass music and deep dubstep. We proceed, and an evolution from one particular style to another suddenly emerges from the depths of the subtle tones. These styles then branch out and grow new buds of inspiration. Gradually these buds bloom and boom in to an alternative state of existence. The dub is still there, the bass is still there and the tone has expanded in to a wider, more emotional trail of reminiscence. From the rudimentary structures which founded dub's platform. To the ever so intelligent and psychedelic sounds of modern creative synthesis and sound design. Triple Drop Productions hopes that there is something within this release for everyone. That there really is a particular tail written here. An enticing tail of variation and universal frequencies for all to enjoy... You only have to listen to appreciate the Rudimentary Structure Expansion that is narrated in this exciting new collection.

Sun Sea Sky Productions has teamed up with the Bluetech to compile all four of the artist’s “Four Horsemen of the Electrocalypse” series EPs into a Limited Edition Double CD set featuring stunning eight-panel digipak artwork from Totemical that appeared on the EPs, as well as new artwork for cover and inside panels. All orders ship with an 11"x17" poster and 1" button while supplies last! 

These four EPs reference the Biblical bringers of the Apocalypse. Drawing inspiration from the classic fantasy art of Moebius, Beksinki and Syd Mead, “The Pale Horse” dances around eschatological tropes with tongue firmly placed in cheek. Featuring gorgeous artwork from concept designer Justin Totemical, each release in the series presents a facet of the visionary prophetic current.

“Emerging from a long period of creative drought and personal struggle, I was seeking a way to frame my own experience in a larger meta-narrative. Navigating through loss and painful transformation always feels apocalyptic, so I wanted to take the opportunity to not only frame my heartbreak in a larger context but also to really laugh at myself and experience the high drama of being human with a sense of humor. The Revelations of our little lives feel like the end of everything, and looking out of our windows of meat and bone we feel the ground rumble with the approach of the 4 Horsemen.

On a larger scale, it’s easy to draw parallels between the realities of modern life and the harbingers of ‘the end’ in John’s symbolic vision of the end of the Roman Empire. We are in the grasp of a dying empire watching the destruction of our biosphere, and yet… every seed must go to ground before new life emerges.

Erot is Tore Kofod born in 1986 in Aalborg, Denmark. As a child he played recorder and drums, but stopped at the age of 9. In an early age he showed interest in electronic music: first it was Kraftwerk, and then later, he expanded to the sounds of Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and such. In the age of 10 he heard his first goa track, and was fascinated and thrilled with this type of music and the emotions he felt.


Tore production skills varies to several ranges, creating mostly positive music with warm feelings, with great groovy and optimistic sounds, he manages to create music with a unique touch, with uplifting moods. But his range follows also more downside paths with reflective and contemplative music. Since the early releases Tore has been faithfull to his unique style, but always pushing new boundaries and experimentations, and the result is the wide spectrum of styles since pure Chill Out, to more ambient tunes, from psychill passing through the more uptempo part of chillout to even progressive music.

His inspiration comes from daylife experiences. His creativity flows from the simplest moments in life to most exciting events, where he transforms those feelings in music loosing his mind to the multilayered leads that he creates to turn sounds into emotions.
