Over the course of the past five years, Amsterdam based label Indigo Aera has evolved in to one of the most trustworthy and respected contemporary Detroit techno labels around.

In October 2016, @IndigoAera embarks on their biggest release to date: a limited edition 5 LP box-set. The Lost Archives Special consists of unreleased tracks from absolute legends, to music that has never been released in a physical form before, to fresh compositions of techno’s most talented contemporary artists. This is the premiere of 500 Models (demo mix) by Joris Voorn.

In the distant galaxy far away there gathered a colony, a band of brothers who were at one with the stars and the far reaches of the universe. On planet play there was no concept of time or limitations. They were a free wheeling gang of vagabonds who had touched down on an entity which would become theirs alone. The sea roared a fierce shade of blue and green as the lightening from the stuttering clouds up above circled in chaos. Go find them, up in the sky. 

William The Squid appears on a new EP as part of the 'Universal Broadcast' series on Craigie Knowes records. The label has assembled a special crew of producers to appear on the four track EP which also includes a final outing for the Deep Space Orchestra moniker.

A maelstrom, the chaos, a vortex, a turmoil. These are appropriate words to describe the hard work of the prolific French producer. With a cryptic history incorporating nearly two decades of aliases and side projects born out of free parties in warehouses, fields and basements, it is under this moniker that the artist has truly come into his own. His skill and vision spanning from 135 bpm wave powerful to a pensive and subtle ambient track, Maelstrom's sonic universe is both precise and limitless, described better by feeling ('approaching storm over river/horse with the bit in its teeth/sliver of moon') than genre.

After a long series of exciting releases on labels like Zone, Bromance, Cultivated Electronics, CPU and Minimal Wave/Cititrax, Maelstrom cofounded the label RAAR in 2015 with frequent collaborator Louisahhh where he released his debut album «Her Empty Eyes» album in 2017.

And now Joan-Mael Péneau (real Maelstrom name) lands with five-tracker EP on Private Persons.
