A Woman (Remix) Version 4

This is a song that I wrote way back around late 2005. With higher quality microphones and PC software, I'm finally able to create an instrumental and higher quality vocals. With this version, I experimented with adding my own background vocals to see how it sounds.

I'm not a professional music artist by any means, nor have I ever hired anyone to do anything with my music. Everything here was 100% made by me, including all vocals and all instrumentals.

Not Anymore (January 03, 2023 Version)

The second remix I ever made in 2008, I wanted it to be from a video game that is one of my favorites, versus the first remix I ever made which was just something I thought I could easily create a remix from. This Metroid remix proved to me that I could successfully do something twice & be satisfied with it, meaning I could do anything from this point forward. I would thus move on to Zelda and Sonic remixes.

Keep in mind that I was still learning this music-creating program; I still didn't understand how to change audio levels for instruments or alter them in many ways.

Metroid Prime - Ridley Theme (04-30-2009 Remix)

This is the first Zelda remix I made using a MIDI track. Oddly enough, I wanted to use a melody from the Zelda series that wasn't very widely known, and I decided to go with Ikana Castle from Majora's Mask. I really love this melody, as it gives a real sense of anxiety, and I wanted to reflect this same feeling.

This is the "Aquatic Ruins Zone" theme for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive video game, "Sonic the Hedgehog 2." Sonic music is very easily mix-able and is one of the most remixed video games ever. I just thought I would stick my toes in the pool as well. This remix, however, is more of my attempt at simply making the theme sound orchestrated rather than a remix feeling, but I think I hit the spot. What do you think?

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Aquatic Ruins Theme (11-17-2009 Remix)

This is the very first remix/orchestrated melody I've ever tried to make, before a time when I knew how to change the volume levels for each instrument. This particular track is 6 years old from the time I'm uploading it. This was created completely from my memory, meaning I didn't use a MIDI file to apply instruments to tracks (it was before a time when I knew how to even do this), hence the title of it being called "NO-MIDI Remix."

The Legend of Zelda - Overworld Theme (03-03-2008 NO-MIDI Remix)

Coming from the Sega Genesis video game "Sonic the Hedgehog 3," I always thought the Bonus Level theme was pretty fun. This remix strays away from the club-esque beats I usually like to listen to and create, but I think it turned out rather well. Again, this remix is more of an orchestration of the original rather than a true remix of instruments.

I wanted to stray away from all of the remixes I've made of Zelda, Sonic & Metroid in order to focus on something completely different. I used to play Ninja Gaiden 3 for the NES and absolutely loved the music, so I went back and sifted through various MIDI files from the game and decided on Act 3-1's music. This file was originally created in 2011, but I was never satisfied with the outcome, so tweaked it this morning to upload on here. It still sounds weird to me, but hey, it's an old file of mine and I wanted to upload it anyway.

Ninja Gaiden III - Act 3-1 Theme (07-17-2011 Remix)

What you're hearing is a remix for the Final Boss of "Metroid II: Return of Samus" for the Game Boy, a fight against the Metroid Queen. I wanted to "modernize" it, adding a sound effect often heard in boss battles in the Metroid Prime series. I'm sure you can point out which sound effect it is...

Metroid II: Return of Samus - Metroid Queen Theme (04-01-2010 Remix)

Created August 04, 2010, I chose to do one of the ocarina melodies from "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" for the Nintendo 64. Like many of my other mixes, this one is simply trying to create a high quality orchestrated version of the melody.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Song Of Storms Theme (08-04-2010 Remix)

I absolutely loved the original version of this remix so much that I had listened to it more than any other remix I've made thus far. With the advances I made in the months since the original remix of this, I decided to re-master it later in the same year, making it sound more dramatic. This second version garnered more appreciation from my friends & family than ever before, and It's showing exactly how quickly I'm advancing with this music-making program. To this day, in 2014, this is actually still pleasant for me to listen to without thinking, "Wow, this is old."

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Hyrule Castle Theme (Remix) (10-04-2010 Edit)

I made this on October 19, 2010, and I still enjoy listening to this, today! This was taken from the theme of "Panic Puppet Zone" from the Sega Saturn video game, "Sonic 3D Blast." I really love this theme, so I thought I would make a remix of it. It sounds so ominous!

This is actually a very short loop, not dissimilar to the Lost Woods theme, so I had to figure out a way to kind of give it a little "oomph." I hope I achieved it!

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Ganon Theme (11-11-2010 Remix)

For people who have played Mario video games as a child, this melody is an unforgettable one, because you knew that this point was leading up to an epic boss fight! I wanted to evoke that impending moment in this melody. I hope you enjoy!

Super Mario Bros. 3 - Airship Theme (11-18-2010 Remix)

I was one of the few who loved Sonic 3D Blast for the Sega Genesis, and this theme is one that I hummed quite a lot. It's also a theme that is re-used in other Sonic games, and I can see why!

Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis Version) - Panic Puppet Zone (12-09-2010 Remix)

While Zelda 2 may be considered the "black sheep" in the Zelda series, it had many catchy melodies. I was kind of stricken by the Cave theme and thought I could definitely enhance it to give it a dramatic effect. This is the result, of course!

Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link - Cave Theme (11-11-2010 Remix)

I took the cave theme I did for Zelda 2 previously and re-imagined it a second time. However, I added in different themes, ultimately creating a sort of medley and having it blend together nearly flawlessly. This was one of the remixes I've done where I really impressed myself and realized that I was beginning to excel with this program for creating music; I was finally able to get a lot of remixes to sound the way I wanted them to in my head!

I wanted to do another Pokémon remix, but I was having trouble deciding which melody to choose. I downloaded all of the MIDI files and decided on the Rival Battle Theme! I hope you enjoy it.

I wanted to revisit "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," since I feel that I haven't done a lot of mixing with its music. This battle music was always very intense and played in situations that were stressful in the game, so it intrigued me!

Until recently, I realized that I've played Mario games ever since I can remember. Even though the series has proven to have the catchiest melodies in video game history, I haven't really tried to remix much of the series' music! Ever since I started making music on the computer, I've tried & failed to re-create this theme and make it sound good. I think this is at least a faithful re-creation of the Temple Theme!

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - Temple Theme (11-12-2013 Remix)

I was skimming through the Pokémon Black & White MIDI folder I have and came across this melody that really caught my attention, so I re-created it! I think it is one of the best remixes I've made so far!

Pokémon Black & White - Driftveil City Theme (02-13-2014 Remix)

Years ago, I made a FFXI bard remix, which combines all 3 bard melodies into a single musical piece. It appears that it was the most popular remix that I've ever made thus far, so I decided to do a little more with it by adding higher-quality instruments as well as mix it up a little bit... There's a 90% chance that I will extend this track that you're listening to right now and make it even longer... but for now, I just want to see what people think of it! I will most likely change the beat since I think it comes off as a little too intimidating for what I was imagining.

Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest - Dark King (Remix 09/27/2015)

During my quest to play through Final Fantasy 1 through 15 in order (minus MMOs), I am currently on FF8, and thought I could really make something nice of the battle theme. My goal was to make it sound fully orchestrated and "robust." I had this remix looping in the background for several minutes before I realized I wasn't bored or annoyed with it, so I deemed it finished.

THIS version, updated just a couple weeks ago, is replacing the old file I had on here. I added a few background instruments to a couple parts and made the cymbals louder. I liked how it turned out, so I made this version 1.1 :D

Final Fantasy VIII - Battle Theme (Remix 1.1) 8-23-16

This remix was finished on September 1, 2018.

I asked my boyfriend what actual song (not video game music) I should remix next, and he gave me not just the artist name (Mon Laferte), but a specific song (Amarrame)! So I did some google research and actually came up with various performances such as the studio version, multiple loud & quiet live versions as well as the solo vocal track (lucky me)! I was like... "I can do this!!!" 

Since I only wanted her voice and not Juanes', I had to splice in a couple verses from one of her live performances... so those parts MAY seem weird... I had to increase the tempo and adjust the shaker instruments/maracas to fit as best as I could for those parts.

If you listen to this remix while watching the original muted video, there is 1 second where it becomes out of sync right before the chorus. My fault somewhere. But the bridge part actually looks AMAZING to the music video... you should watch them together!

This took me nearly 20 hours to finish, and I did it in two days! I hope you enjoy it... definitely my best work so far.

Was playing Gen 1 for the first time in a long time and got inspiration to make this remix! I remember trying my hand at remixing this theme years ago, but was never able to make it sound good. But, with experience, I finally feel that this is the sound I was imagining a long time ago. I hope you enjoy it!

You guys should have heard the first version of this mix I made that I actually considered a finished version. Two weeks of tweaking/adding/mastering instruments repeatedly and this beauty came out! I listened to my first concept of this afterward, and it sounds like shit! Lmfao.

Anyway, it's Cynthia's Theme from Pokemon Black and White. Kind of happy how it turned out! <3 Hope you guys enjoy it.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Black & White - Cynthia's Theme (Remix 6 - 13 - 19)

I originally wrote a song in early 2006 called, "Let's Fly Away" on my guitar... lyrics, melody and all. I had always envisioned what the atmosphere of the actual fully-produced song might sound like, and, since I've had 13 years of experience with music-making software, I am finally satisfied with creating something completely original and not just a reproduced remix from midi files that already exist.

Even though this music track is simply an instrumental... whenever I sing the lyrics of the song, I always imagine myself flying over a body of water at night (like you can fly in dreams), with the moon reflecting off of it. It's very beautiful imagery.

As far as the lyrics themselves, the song is about realizing a person is in love with someone very special and wanting to take advantage of that experience in every way possible, just like a person takes their time savoring food (I know that's a weird comparison, lmao). In addition, because of their newfound love, this person looks back at their past and realizes they can become much better person than they once were.

I'm not much into ska-style sounds, but I feel that, while I was producing the instruments, it sort of naturally evolved into such lol. But I think it works? I hope you guys enjoy it!

This is the instrumental I finished, today, for a song I wrote back in December 2005 called, "Not Anymore." I consider it the very first "good" song that I wrote. I remember someone I used to be roommates with telling me that hearing me sing the song on my guitar made her eyes water, which made me feel like I conveyed the emotion of the song well.

Having said all of that, I've always envisioned what the instrumental would sound like for 14 whole years, but was never able to have it realized until today. I'm only able to do this based off of practicing using music-making software that allowed me to made remixes from midi files! ...it only took me 14 years of practice to allow me to make original music that actually sounds decent!

As far as the lyrics, the song is about a recent breakup, knowing that there was tension between the two people for a long time. The person who was dumped is in the middle of a breakdown, and this song conveys those raw emotions.

Here is the full vocalized version of the original song I wrote back in January 2006!  Even though I don't have much experience at all with vocal mastering, this is the best that It's going to sound with the mic I have.

I tried recording a harmonizing backing vocal track, but I couldn't get it to sound good when I paired them together, so I left it out and added echo/reverb to some of it instead. :x

I could continue tweaking it forever, but it will never be finished unless I just put it out there, so I hope you all enjoy it! :)

Randy - Lets Fly Away

I just bought Reason 11 Suite and I just wanted to test all of the instruments. I ended up choosing the Intro Theme for Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System! This franchise is intended to be on the creepy/scary/horror side, but as I was playing with the instruments, it kind of evolved into something I would imagine hearing in a horror film trailer! I really liked how it turned out.

My main focus is re-imagining video game music by making remixes. I will remix popular melodies, but I also try to even out the playing field by mixing themes that may not be as well-known.

I am more inclined to make remixes of music that are from the N64/PSX era or older because the audio quality difference is extremely satisfying to me!
