In 2018 my band Alternation released our first single. It was about me crashing my Mom's car into parking divider and the girl I thought would never like me because of it. It was the third or fourth lyrical song I had ever written, and for some reason, it really connected with people.

Now, it's been five years. I have a lot of complex feelings about this song, but for the most part I'm proud that my friends still remember the lyrics. I made such a good pop song that sometimes I wonder if I peaked with the first ever single. It is what it is I guess.
