Celebrating the completion of Navaratri 2021, we present you SHIVA. 

For 9 nights we worshiped the Goddesses forms and Her various spiritual penances in which She performs through out lifetimes to unite with Shiva. Their coming together as the primordial couple also represents the dance of our internal energy and deepening of our personal relationship to the Divine; to the Supreme Reality.

From a metaphysical stand point, Shiva-Shakti corresponds to the masculine principle of creation, God, and Shakti corresponds to the feminine principle, Energetic Force.

Shiva represents consciousness and holds all the elements of creation while Durga provides Shiva with energy as Shakti, the dynamic potency which catalyzes these elements into action. She lends the grace needed to utilize the power of creation.
 
We suggest listening to both our tracks SHAKTI and SHIVA together as a yogic practice and meditation on this union within.

SHIVA (Feat NIKUNJA)

In chapter one of the Bhagavad Gītā, Arjuna Vishada Yoga, the foundation is set for Krishna (incarnation of God) to soon reveal the science of yoga to the noble warrior Arjuna. Here, Arjuna discovers with great sorrow, that the battle he must face is amongst his very own friends, family, and teachers… 

This is not a typical battle, for it takes place on the field of Dharma… dharma-kṣetre kuru-kṣetre …the field of righteousness, where one symbolically journeys through the path of liberation. Can you relate? Has moving towards what will benefit the greater good led you away from what seems to be the most familiar and even seemingly, the most dear to you? 

The music and video production for Chapter one, ‘The Lamentation of Arjuna’, with select essential verses (sang in English) is out on October 30th, 2021.

I’m creating short artistic renditions for each chapter, while simultaneously, step by step, recording each verse of the Gita in English. Please do share with those wanting to explore and put into practice the authentic & ancient meaning of yoga.

Kal means black. In that deep darkness she absorbs everything.
Those who have done silent meditation, or in the cave during Earth Meditation... it is completely black. In that state of mind in the cave, there is a complete state of silence which you don’t find outside. You are inside the womb of the Mother...

"The poems of Kamalakanta were later sung by mystic Sri Ramakrishna, who himself was a great devotee of the Divine Mother. These devotional songs would often send Sri Ramakrishna into an ecstatic state as he became absorbed in contemplation of the Divine Mother. Many of these songs are recorded in The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, which at one point mentions, "... he (Ramakrishna) would spend hours singing the devotional songs of great devotees of the Mother, such as Kamalakanta. Those rhapsodic songs describing direct vision of God ..."
