Ridiculous

Here's the story.
I played a club. A young lady walked up to me after my set and said that I reminded her of Prince. I thanked her, genuinely flattered. She told me about a contest he was putting on for the millions of fans in his fan club. I was not in the club at that time. She said "I think you could win it!" I told her I wasn't interested, but thanked her. 

She approached me two (2) more times that night about it. The last approach was on my way out the door. I was just glad that she said I reminded her of him, and I thought that was good enough. NOT!!! 

She called me the next morning! She had gotten my number from my publicist! She said, "I'll send you the music and the address, just write to it and send it in!" I reluctantly agreed. 

I asked Father God for lyrics. I asked "What do you want to say to Prince?" I wrote the lyrics and sang the Lead and the  BGVs. Prince played everything else. This was for a contest. Prince heard this and picked me!!! 
I won the Prince songwriting contest!!! 

Thank You, Prince Rogers Nelson for acknowledging the gift in me!!! I am ever grateful. I look forward to doing music with you in Glory!!!
