Diamonds was written and composed as part of a Hugo Moroux/Ben Levin song challenge in February 2021. The prompt was: write a song based on a piece of visual art. I got inspired by a portrait of a girl by Patrick Wegner. The girl is his sister when she was around the age of fifteen/sixteen. The song is about the transition from girl to woman. My friend Pepijn Vissers on lead vocals and guitar.

Diamonds

Dutch musician and composer, main instrument synths and piano. Recorded one full album, Children of the Fall, with my band Chey Veck. See under Albums. Also created some film music. Driven by some amazing song challenges I am currently working on new material for another album.
