Imagine a somber piano playing while you’re being lowered into the ground, a priest in Stüssy rattling off razor-sharp bars for your eulogy.

“I wrote ‘Statue’ to quiet the hype of what's currently being praised in Toronto,” says Rob GF. “Music is easily manufactured today and most of it sounds the same. There aren't enough people applying their own unique styles to what they create. 'Statue' is also a reminder that I am still out to say, ‘Fuck you and fuck the industry.’

“I also want to add in that Toronto is a hotbed for talent, but not too often does the true unique talent have light shed on it as well.”
