Kellam first get involved with dance music in New York City where he quickly became a fixture in the underground dance music scene and has rapidly gained acclaim internationally. He has most recently taken a role in Thailand at the W Retreat Koh Samui as the W Music Curator and resident Dj where he is programming the events for 2015 while he is touring periodically for select gigs as well. His positiv energy and knack for weaving together deep grooved melodic tracks has made him a rising star in the dance music world which has landed him bookings at some incredible warehouse parties, top clubs and events internationally. He is regularly Booked along side some of the industries top tier talent, most recently including, A Guy Called Gerald, Eric Volta, Damian Lazarus, Mathias Meyer, Max Cooper, and the list goes on and on. He has also played regularly at top clubs around the US, including: Output ( NY ), Marquee ( NY), Avalon ( Cali ), Project LA ( Cali ), Treehouse ( Miami ), and at many of the dance music camps at Burning Man, where he is also the music director of camp Trifucta. We are honored to have this Mix from Kellam which he recorded Live during one of his sunset sessions at W Retreat Koh Samui, Thailand. It wasn’t long ago that I never considered DJing or had any knowledge of the underground dance music scene whatsoever. In fact, it was at burning man many years ago that I had my first crash course in exposure to it at all.  I remember the first time I came to DISTRIKT in 2010 I was so blown away by the complete wild nature of this seemingly never ending block party that was completely encompassed with a totally inviting family vibe; While the DJs, who were completely foreign to me were making everyone dance in rhythm with each other.  Fast forward many years and there I was, walking into the DJ booth, playing on the Wednesday line up, of which I personally knew all the DJs. As my music career has started and grown, which such a burning man influence, so has my musical direction.  With this set I completely went with the flow of the day and started with a very techie vibe, taking over from where Muffs & Mykola left off, and let music naturally flow from techie, grooves day time vibes to just open, progressive tech vibes. I am so happy to have been invited to join the musical family at the DISTRIKT, and really hope you enjoy this set… Looking forward to seeing you all this year at the burn!

Kelly Kellam aka Kellam, is a DJ Music producer, event producer and music curator out of New York City.  Most recently he has taking the role as Director of Audio at the Assemblage, NYC, following his role as Music Curator and resident DJ for W Hotels in south east Asia. Over the past 10 years he has really carved out a name for him self on the international stage and has played all over the world and along side an incredibly long list of industry icons, from Asia, Europe, Africa, and central America, as well as all over the United States. He has also played festivals all over the world, including innumerable sets at burning man, to include atop of the legendary Robot Heart bus, Distrikt, Trifucta, Pink Mammoth to name a few. He has been a regular in the underground scene in NYC playing at many of the top underground venues, events & warehouse parties. 
Kellam has an incredible ability to tune his dynamic sound to the vibe and take people on a journey infusing organic instrumentals with a deep rhythmically grooved underbelly. From mid tempo organic vibes to driving rhythms & melodies, he will set the perfect soundtrack to the experience at hand. Kellam integrates sounds that will always keep you moving & in a euphoric rhythmic groove through his curious sound that blends deep house, electronica, progressive, techno, and indigenous inspired grooves; always attuned to the moment. 
During 2015 he held the position of music director & resident DJ for the W Hotels in south east Asia in 2015. While there he produced and played events with some the top names in underground dance music.
