Let's Be Happy

One of my favorite festivals in the World is the Radio Meuh Circus Festival nestled in the small ski village of Clusaz in the French Alps. It was quite an honor & excitement to play an entire night start to finish to kick off the 2019 festival with my partner in Turntables on the Hudson sound system, Nappy G on percussion. Although his drum head broke in the middle of the night, he managed to make magic & keep the rhythms flowing till the end freestyle with me on the CDJ's making beats, him rocking the broken congas & a beautiful charged up crowd keeping the energy very high! We get down anywhere anytime full of passion & heart & if you can imagine this very packed crowd sweating all up on top of each other, dancing, smiling, grinding, drinking... you get the idea of a Radio Meuh, Turntables on the Hudson, Alps, Nile, Ramblas, Danube, Ipanema, Caribbean vibes! Hinter Nina Kramer verbirgt sich ein Musiker-Kollektiv rund um die namensgebende Sängerin und Frontfrau. Begonnen hat alles 2012als ein Songwriter-Duo und reines Studioprojekt. Schnell wurde klar, dass diese Musik auf eine authentische Plattform, in Form von Bühnen, muss und so wurden nach und nach Musiker rekrutiert. Die Band besteht in der heutigen Formation nun aus sechs Musikern aus Nürnberg und Umgebung. „Popkultur trifft auf rockigen Soul mit jazziger Note... “,wurde einst der Stil bezeichnet. Jeder einzelne Musiker bringt Einflüsse aus Stilrichtungen mit, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein können. Dass sich dieser Cocktail durch Spannung, Vielfalt und tiefgründigen Inhalt kennzeichnet, überrascht nicht. So entstehen Synergien aus experimentellen,elektronischenSounds wie auch handgemachtem Soul-Rock, angereichert durch bluesig-rotzige Saxophon Lines. Wenn diese Basis noch mit Ninas druckvoller, unverwechselbarer Stimme serviert wird, ist dies definitiv ein stilvoller Begleiter für lange Abendstunden...
