Creative electronic music duo also known as 'future pansori duo',

Ninano Nanda, and a powerfully driven and heavy-styled Korea's top techno producer, DJ Bagagee Viphex13, collaborated on a new EP called 'Time Machine'.

 

 

The core motif of this album is 'time'. The original and remix versions show how the music structure, such as 'Riding the time machine', can be changed to other genres. Ninano Nanda thinks much of the soundscape and retro electronic/dub from the past, and Bagagee drives the grooves of the future state of techno sound, illuminating the great contrast between musical and notion. Still, there is one bridge of sound and feeling, which originated from the traditional Korean vocal 'pansori style' structure.

The title 'C'est la vie' means 'this is life'

This track is a lounge-styled soft electronic music, which elaborates 60’s-70’s Korean vocal style with retro dub sounds.

In the digital age, retro sound strikes back!

It feels like an old LP or tape recorder playing today’s electronic music structure. The audience can feel themselves travelling into the past. The lyrics written in Korean states that 'everything in the universe is cycled everywhere'. It features traditional pansori vocal and live dubbed effects.

The dominant saw noise towards the end is intended to raise awareness that music is not only made of quality sound driven from a money-skilled processing, but rather like how a little child thinks and plays. As to illustrate, the hypnotic frequency like the dubbing in the past, sirens another sound that is generated by a simple analog modified filter module.

“It's the present and future structure of music” =Techno by Bagagee

The original version goes back into the past, as Korea's top techno DJ's spirit spirals into the future. It feels like the future is the present. 

As a dominant techno producer in Korea, Bagagee restyled and designed 'Jang goon's' traditional Korean vocal as an effective music source and a new style techno number. Many other sister genres use different styles of traditional vocals. For example, the melodic trance uses the major scale opera vocal lines; the psy-trance uses the raga structure of Indian vocals; the tech house uses the north afro vocals or Latin. So Bagagee, as the top techno DJ of Korea, illustrates a new version of vocal techno of his own style. He made this special number with traditional vocal of Korean 'Pansori style'. This is the first official 'Kimchi Techno' in the world.

In the song, C'est la vie, the core message of the lyrics is 'man-nam in Korean, which means 'visit' or 'contact'. Bagagee and Ninano Nanda knew at first sight that they were destined to meet. Therefore as a producer, Bagagee uses the word 'man-nam' as a key point sound, also a source of re-mixing. The original version is a lounge-like sound, but his version is hot for groovy techno festivals or parties.
