Fast-rising percussion purveyor Drumheller joins Funky Adjacent with the Paprika/Standoff EP. The Glaswegian producer has rapidly become known for his club-ready drum tools following his debut release on Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce in 2021, and further releases on respected labels such as Jerome and Club Djembe.

‘Paprika/Standoff’ sees Drumheller take inspiration from world club genres to create two punishing cuts for peak time.

‘Standoff’ fuses a thumping kick, rumbling sub bass, marching snare drums, bongos and bleeps, to create a punchy industrial heater that isn’t lacking in groove. On ‘Paprika’, elements of gqom and amapiano meet UK techno, as rhythmic chanting is combined with rolling log drums, a bouncing bassline, half-time breakdowns and a smattering of breakbeats.

Last year around this time I released the first Underground mix. The Underground series is a musical glimpse into what goes on inside of my mind. Took a bunch of different sub categories of electronic music that I mess with, put it in a blender, and this was the end result. With a little bit of everything from Spice Girls to Zebra Katz, Underground Vol. 2 features some of my fav tracks from the year while others are from various times and places. It's just what sounds good to me ;)

So.. "In luv" really had me in my feels when I was making it. And that's because I have actually fallen in love with a stripper before, and it's the reason why I'm black listed from crazy girls in Hollywood. And Diamond if you're reading this I hope you good, lift the restraining please, I have money again.
Anyway.. I used the same drums from the clouded edit, somehow found the raw acapella added a loop I had lying around from another project and went to towwwwwn. Sometimes it's useful to keep a folder with knick knacks from other projects to pull from it can come in clutch.
