Sonic 3D Blast (MD) ~ Rusty Ruins Act 1 (MKT Arrange)

This is the Time Attack Menu track of a Sonic CD remake I have been working on with Axanery and Cyber1204.

I originally intended to make this as a cover of the Time Attack Menu used on the mobile port, but since I went for a different style, I ended up doing a medley of all the memorable Zone motifs from CD! I sacrificied a more cohesive structure for it, but I'm super proud of it.
The actual version used ingame will have the intro shortened for obvious reasons lol.

I Heart Vocoders! So I thought I'd try putting the Arturia Microfreak's Vocoder thru the  Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II Sampler Composer. I sampled a few parts of the Vocoder into the K.O. I've actually wanted to cover this song for over a year now, I just never got around to doing it because I could never find those "WOO" and "YAY" samples.

I'm finding Sonic music is always a lot of fun to cover. Wonder if there's any reason.

I saw the original of this gaining more likes and shares, so I thought I'd come back to it.

Fun thing, I actually uploaded the wrong version when I did the full vocal mashup, as I'd gone back and cleaned it up significantly in terms of what parts of Evening Star and which channels went where. By the time I realised, however, it had likes and shares and comments and it was too late.

So, here's an instrumental version that has the updated YM2612 and PSG channels set out as I actually wanted them, and without vocals. I like how well these two tracks work like this without them, and listen to it on the regular when working.
