As always, we present a solid ep that shows us tracks with a powerful sci fi sound, hypnotic rhythms and dense atmospheres that complement this double creation perfectly.

It is a great joy for us to release this album that represents the essence of the label very well.

Monthly Techno Mixshow - Amayah [April 2025]

Our June 2025 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features a one hour, fourteen minute mix from Josh Tong.  This closing set was recorded live for the Entropoic x Green Machine show at Smartbar in Chicago on 12/5/24.

Josh Tong is a classically trained artist and DJ specializing in textural, atmospheric, and ethereal techno. He takes a methodical and intentional approach to his sets reflecting the ways in which classical concertos are structured and fabricated. This curious approach illustrates the harmonious flow of energy between melodic elements and atmospheric tones through deeply layering tracks creating soundscapes rather than a singular sound. 

His thoughtful, philosophical approach to music guides his project, Entropic - a music-centered experience and platform that transcends genres and honors DJing as an artform always pushing the boundaries of sound and space. Josh has showcased local talent through Entropic at Chicago’s beloved Smartbar and continues to build community through these deliberate iterations. He is also a resident of Chicago’s techno collective and label, Format.

Our July 2025 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features a two-hour mix from Brandon De Carlo.  

From his live performances at some of NYC’s most legendary events through the 90’s, to his countless DJ gigs under the southwest stars through the 2000’s and beyond, Brandon’s journey spans decades of dedication to techno. A multi-instrument musician and grandson of Puerto Rican singing legend Tito Rodriguez (who lead the first wave of NYC nightlife in the 40’s-50’s), his rhythmic roots run generations deep and his dedication to his craft is not driven by fame, nor fortune, but by legacy. His classic releases on Kevin Saunderson’s KMS records, 611 Rec, Hijacked Records and his own Downside Up Recordings have gained him global attention and rotation from the who’s who of techno DJ’s, while his approach to delivering blistering dj sets continues to push the envelope of rhythmic reality, cleansing souls of those who bear witness.

Monthly Techno Mixshow - Brandon De Carlo [July 2025]

Our August 2025 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features a two-hour mix from Komprezzor.

Hailing from Mexico City and living in Chicago for over 2 decades, Komprezzor has become a synonym of hardware and modular-based techno live performance in the US.  His sounds and patterns are uncommon to the classically trained ear.  He performs based on a gut feeling, showing a heavily-influenced, Detroit-style improvisation where no time nor scale is right or wrong.  His performing technique, just like life itself, can be unpredictable as he arranges sounds landscapes and sequences on the fly, with precision timing.  Simply put, whenever you are present at one of his performances... expect the unexpected.  Komprezzor is currently working on his Hardware brand as his main operational umbrella, featuring a label, podcast, video channel, and interviews with other fellow hardware performers.

Our September 2025 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features an hour-long mix from our co-founder, DBOT.

DBOT is a Phoenix-based techno artist with deep roots in the Chicago nightclub scene.  Starting his music career in 2008, DBOT began his journey playing house music at some of the most-respected venues in Downtown Chicago.  After almost a decade of holding down residencies throughout the city, he developed an affinity for techno and the grittier, stripped-down productions that catered more to the underground.  As his sound evolved, he co-founded Nine Lives in 2017 as a means to book talent aligned with his newfound aspirations as an artist.  After relocating to Phoenix in 2020, DBOT established himself as a key figure on the Techno Snobs DJ roster, playing dozens of high-profile shows since his arrival to The Valley.  Invigorated by this latest chapter of his career, DBOT is currently focused on making new music and expanding the Nine Lives and Techno Snobs brands.
