First and foremost, I would like to introduce you all to 88JAY and welcome him to the crew as our latest member. You might recognize his sound and style in collaborations he's done with Kreatev which we have worked a lot with in the past. 

88JAY is an Atlanta based producer and multi-genre musician with a live band background. 88JAY is a pianist, percussionist, and guitarist with heavy influences from neo-soul, jazz, and lo-fi sounds. 

He familiarized himself with Atlanta’s underground subculture genres around the age of 19. Since then he’s produced several singles and EP’s with various artists, and is now releasing his standalone instrumentals featuring a lot of those artists.

Today i’m honored to share the new single from German producer RINZ. with you all, titled Reminisce. It’s a story telling track that was made through his memories when he spent his time in the birthplace of hip-hop – New York, US. The vibe is always groovy & a solid bounce as always when sharing tracks with us that’s one of the main reasons i love working with him. When i spoke with him, here’s what he had to say and also his vision for the track.

I made the track Reminisce as a way to channel my emotionsand experiences about my time living in New York. It was a place that left a lasting impression on me and served as asource of inspiration for my art – As Rick Rubin said, channeling emotions into a beautiful work of art can be therapeutic, and that was certainly the case for me as I poured my experiences and feelings about the city into my new track.

The boom bap feeling of the track transports the listener back in time, reminding them of their own experiences and memories. Although I only lived in New York for 1.5 years, it felt like a much longer time because of all the experiences I had and the people I met. The graffities in Brooklyn, the rugged feel of thesubway stations, and the busy sidewalks in Manhattan all left a lasting impression on me. The track has been released together with our friends over at Steezyasfuck©

Reminisce is my tribute to that time and the city will always be a part of me. Let’s take a trip down memory lane together!
