The mighty Z-Trip steps in hour 2 for his superb 'All Access - A Beastie Boys Megamix' to coincide with their new album. We don't have a track list but you'll recognise plenty of tracks from their catalogue mixed and spliced the way only Z-Trip can. Starting with 'Paul Revere' from Licensed to Ill and all the way up to their latest album Hot Sauce Committee, including a recording of the WBLS show where a young Z-Trip first heard the Beasties.
DK returns for the last section with another track from Elzhi and his Elmatic mixtape, followed by original hip hop from the Widstyle movie. We switch to Analog Africa reissues of Orchestre Poly-Rythmo and Rob, new music from Owiny Sigoma Band and a rare Fela cover from '75 by Johnny & Orquesta Rodrigues. It's a track off the Africa Hitech album, turkish psyche funk from Mustafa Özkent and we close with jazz from the Harry Roche Constellation

"Here's a live recording of my set at Glastonbury 2017, keeping it pretty tightly themed to The Get Down - i.e. early 1980s NYC block party music! This was great fun - loved sticking to the theme, and by 20 minutes in it felt more like we were in the Bronx in 1984 by than a tent in a field in Somerset! Excuse some of the dodgy mixing moments, this was all live! Enjoy, and wear full adidas tracksuit to appreciate entirely  :) "

It's a welcome return to Solid Steel for Z-Trip with a mix created for the Shepard Fairey exhibition 'Sound & Vision' in London. Fairey reached out to producer and DJ, Z-Trip to create a soundtrack that embodies the spirit of the show. Z-Trip went to work immediately to produce something worthy of Fairey's vision.  Z-Trip comments "Shepard does visually what I do musically. We have many of the same influences, it made perfect sense for us to collaborate on Sound and Vision, I was honored to do it." In typical Z-Trip style it's a total mash up of music from artists like Black Sabbath, Prodigy and Public Enemy through to David bowie, SBTRKT and Bob Marley.
DK drops in to close the show with forthcoming music from Dobie, a track from the Death Grips album, dub versions from Jah Warrior and Grace Jones, plus Jesse Boykins III & Melo-X and Roses Gabor.
