Solid Steel in association with Serato (21st September) More carnival vibes from Coldcut this week, starting with a heavy reggae selection from Courtney Melody, Ninjaman and Poison Chang who are joined by Om Unit, Ty & Roots Manuva and Hudson Mohawke. We hit double time with Enei, Dub Phizix and Guardians of Dalliance from 96, then two from Greensleeves with Mr Vegas and Admiral Bailey, before closing with The Bug, The Qemists and Dream Continuum.
DJ Irk steps in with a driving party mix with musical offerings from Todd Terje, Two Fingers, Captain Planet and hitting funky afrobeat flavours with Javi P3z Orqueta, ending with Bobby Byrd setting us up nicely for our guest in hour 2.
