This is easy. This dream is about your longing for true friendship. The monster is the part of your own self that's holding you back from having real friendships.You choosing always the red means you know the truth about this – some aspects of your personality are driving potential friends away from you or are keeping them at a distance. You want to have real friendships without having to let go of the monster, your character flaws, which is not possible. If you want to join your friends behind the glass eating stuff you have to let go of the monster first. As long as you don't do that you'll never be able to join them.
