Gnoll Stronghold

Nipenthis is a black metal band from Athens, Hellas, born of Revan (Vocals) in April of the year 2007 as a one man band. After recording some material, he decided to recruit members and create a full member band under the banner of Nipenthis. The band was joined by Nihilus (Guitar), Sion (Guitar) and Darroc (Drums). In 2008, Setherion joined the band in the position of Guitar, and Sion took the Bass. Some time later Hydraya replaced Darroc on drums, while Revan had the position of Vocals-Bass after Sion's departure. In September of the year 2009 Nipenthis released a split called "Death means Evilness" with Al-Azazhil by Nusantarajim Productions. After a lot of changes in the line-up and some live performances the band was joined by Asmodeus (Drums) and Velnias (Bass). In the summer of the year 2011 the band self-released an EP entitled "Sleeping in Eternal Shadow". After the release of the EP, Nihilus left the band and was replaced by Nocturnus NecroAeon (Guitar) while Velnias stayed only as live member. Nipenthis is about to release a split album with Wolfhowl in the summer of the year 2012 by Azermedoth records, while preparing for the first full-length album.
