Berlin’s Refracted has been a name dear to us for some time, having contributed a remix to our inaugural label release nearly six years ago. The Paral·lel co-curator and resident has cultivated a devoted following over the years for his uncompromising vision developed through a remarkable catalog of releases for label such as Silent Season, Bitta, Sublunar and his own Mind Express. For our series Refracted contributes a mix true to his signature style, crystalline and patiently layered with unwavering intent, drawing across decades and genres to invite us into a divine state of mind. Shinsuke Goto は、2020 年代の東京を代表するヴェニューのひとつ“翠月-Mitsuki-”にてマネージャーとして修練を積みながら、柔軟性に富んだ音楽的感性と DJ スキルを磨いてきた。
現在は“翠月-Mitsuki-”でプログラムキュレーションを担いながら、2022 年から唯一のレギュラーテクノパーティー『AFTER LIFE』を隔月で主宰し、同地のレジデント DJ としても厚い信頼を得ている。
また、日本屈指のフェス『rural』や、アジア最大級のフェス『Wonderfruit』などへの出演を起点として、ベルリンの名門クラブ『Tresor』や『Sameheads』にも出演を果たし日本から世界へとその名と実力を拡めている。
彼の魅力は、積極的な姿勢と情熱にある。ダンスミュージックの必然的作用や偶発的な瞬間を全身で受け止め、それをDJとしてのアウトプットへと昇華させる。テクノを基調にしつつ、新しいサウンドを積極的に取り入れる挑戦心。ディープな選曲で空間を掌握する洞察力。爆発的にフロアを沸かせる共振力。そして時にはコミュニティを動かす原動力にもなる。彼は「今」を鋭く捉えながら、さらにその先へと導いてくれるだろう。


Shinsuke Goto has honed his craft as a manager at Mitsuki, one of Tokyo’s most iconic venues of the 2020s, while developing a flexible musical sensibility and refining his DJ skils. 
Currently, he is responsible for curating the program at Mitsuki, where he also runs AFTER LIFE, the venue’s only regular techno party, which has been held bi-monthly since 2022. As a resident DJ, he has earned deep trust within the local scene.
Building on appearances at Rural, one of Japan’s leading festivals, and Wonderfruit, one of the largest festivals in Asia, he has expanded his name and reputation internationaly, performing at renowned Berlin clubs such as Tresor and Sameheads.
What makes Shinsuke truly stand out is his proactive approach and passion. He fuly embraces both the inevitable eﬀects and the spontaneous moments of dance music,transforming them into his unique DJ output. While rooted in techno, he is constantly driven to incorporate new sounds. His deep selections demonstrate a sharp insight that allows him to take control of the space, while his ability to create resonance can ignite
the dancefloor. At times, he even becomes a driving force that moves entire communities. Sharply attuned to the “now,” Shinsuke guides his audience beyond, into what lies ahead.
